Pan Anbang was born on September 10, 1961 in the Jinlongtou Military Village Reserve Area, Magong City, Penghu County, Taiwan Province, China. His ancestral home is Ouhai District, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province. He graduated from Magong High School. He is a Taiwanese male folk singer who occupies a place in the Chinese music scene with his unique musical talent and soulful singing. Pan Anbang debuted in 1979 and is famous for his first solo album "Grandma's Penghu Bay", which also won him the Taiwan Best Newcomer of the Year Award. His musical works are not only deeply loved by Taiwanese audiences, but also have wide influence in the mainland. In particular, he sang "Grandma's Penghu Bay" at the Beijing CCTV "Spring Festival Gala", which further enhanced his popularity in the mainland.
