The conductor of Vienna 223 New Year Concert is Franz Wilser-Most.
Franz Wilser-Most is one of the new generation conductors in today's classical music world. He became famous in his youth and traveled in Europe and America to conduct. He was the chief conductor of London Philharmonic Orchestra (199-1996) and is currently the artistic director of Cleveland Symphony Orchestra.
Most has twice held the Vienna New Year Concert in the Golden Hall. Unilaterally, while retaining the classic songs of Strauss family, Most has inserted several songs that surprise and admire the global audience. When Wilser Most was invited to conduct the Vienna New Year Concert, he said that the selection of tracks should try to avoid making the audience complain, "Oh, my God! The same thing again! " So he bypassed those tracks that were too "mainstream" to present more new ideas.
Mr. Most's two important conductors in 213 and 223:
The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, with Liszt as its theme, which was co-operated by Most and Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, won the local praise and the record sales volume was the highest in recent years. Therefore, the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra hopes that Mr. Most's second performance will bring new glory to the Vienna New Year Concert. Mr. Most really lived up to expectations and brought you a wonderful 213 Vienna New Year Concert. On January 1st, 223, Franz Wilser-Most held the third New Year Concert.
