A seven-seater bus always gives us the impression that no one wants to sit in the third row as long as it is full.
not to mention SUVs, even MPVs have such a situation. There are two reasons. First, some MPVs are really not large enough in size. For example, many of our own brands have introduced compact MPVs. "Compact" and "MPV" are originally a pair of contradictions, which completely violates the original intention of MPVs. Of course, the price is there, and we are not easy to argue.
second, even though the size of medium and large MPVs has been upgraded, some models have a perfunctory attitude towards the third row, which is like giving away seats. But until the recent test drive of SAIC Chase MAXUS MIFA 9, my concept changed. This is the first time that I won't refuse to take the third-row model because it has a third-row seat that can be "flat". SAIC Chase MAXUS MIFA 9

Being used to the current Erffa MPVs, Datong MIFA 9 finally brings some fresh elements. Compared with many MPVs with big mouth design, this simple shape that shows the sense of the future can better meet my imagination of a pure electric MPV, even if it does not rely on "".
how big is it? Its length, width and height are 527/2/184mm, and its wheelbase is 32 mm. All the data are bigger than Buick G18, especially the wheelbase of 3.2 meters. Perhaps the mainstream MPV that can reach such a wheelbase is only the dreamer.
also because of such a huge figure, in order to take care of the aesthetic feeling, the whole model started with an 18-inch rim, and the size of the rim of this mid-high version we test-drive was directly upgraded to 19 inches. As for whether it will affect the comfort, we will talk about it below.
Like the Chase G9, MIFA 9 is an interior design with triple screens. Although it is not groundbreaking, it is extremely rare in MPV. However, I can only say that this design is good and bad. The good thing is that it is very simple in look and feel, and the scientific and technological flavor it brings can make you pleasing to the eye.
On the bad side, many frequently used functions are searched in the second or even third-level menus on the screen, such as the electronic handbrake and automatic parking, etc. We don't need technology for the sake of technology at all.
Of course, this is the driver's big brother's worry. The intelligence and convenience of other seats are excellent, because except for the third row, all other seats are equipped with an operation screen, which has all kinds of functions, such as playing drama, listening to music, scene service, controlling L cars and so on. It is a complete relief artifact.
the point is to look at the second row. before that, we have to talk about the convenience of getting on the bus. The platform of MIFA 9 is actually not high from the side, but actually, when you get on the bus, you will find that entering the second row of seats is still a bit stiff. The reason is that the battery pack placed at the bottom of the vehicle occupies a little height of the platform, so it also designs one or two steps. If you don't want to pull your pants, you have to get on the bus at the first level to look elegant. However, there are no design steps in the front row, and the driver has to have long legs.
I've basically experienced most mainstream MPVs in the market, except for high-end goods like Lexus LM, but this is the first time I've seen such an exaggerated space performance like Chase MIFA 9.
First of all, there is basically no sense of space anxiety in the second row of seats, because it is close to a one-meter-long guide rail, it is no problem whether you want to turn into a recliner or sit in a secure position like an old cadre, and it is not difficult to enter the third row. Its second row of seats can not only move back and forth, but also move left and right, so the width of the aisle can be adjusted at will, reaching a maximum of nearly 2cm.
There is high energy in front, which is our seating space full of six people. The second row is two male media with a figure of about 175cm, while my height is 183cm, and I can still form a semi-lying posture in the third row. If the media in front leans the seat forward again, I believe it is not a problem to "lie flat" obliquely, because the third row of seats also has a guide rail close to 1 meter, which is very outrageous.
what's more, if you choose the six-seat version of Gaoshan, there is leg rest in the third row. To be honest, it may be a bit strange to put it on other MPVs, but it's not surprising to put it on MIFA 9, because it has the confidence to accommodate it.
as for the configuration, it is also one of the "roll kings". The seven-seat version of Gaoshan, which we test drive, is equipped with heating/ventilation/massage functions in the first and second rows. The second row of seats is also equipped with leg rests, electric headrest, small table board, hand control screen and front entertainment screen. It has a strong sense of weight, but it can easily control
the length of a car that is close to 5m 3 and reach the width of 2m. Just looking at the data makes it difficult to control, and parking and entering a narrow basement are believed to be very difficult. However, the moment MIFA 9 stepped on the switch and turned the steering wheel, although it gave people a great sense of size, it was by no means difficult to drive.
A front motor with 245 horsepower and 35 Nm of torque, even if it is a cart with a curb weight of more than 2.5 tons, will not give you the feeling of "small horse-drawn cart". After all, this power level is also the level of many 2.T engines, and with the quick response of the motor in the initial stage, it is still very carefree to drive, and even this carefree feeling sometimes makes you ignore its figure.
in order to prevent it from being too aggressive, manufacturers try their best to adjust it to feel like a fuel car at the initial stage. Of course, due to the weight of the car, its acceleration in the middle and rear stages is not so fierce, but for an MPV, this acceleration is enough for daily use.
The chassis of Chase MIFA 9 actually needs to be improved. During the test drive, I experienced the front, middle and rear three rows of seats, and the best feeling was not the second row, but the front row, because the adjustment of the front suspension was the most comfortable. No matter whether it was vibration filtering or jumping up and down, the suspension could be pulled, and the whole riding posture was very stable.
However, the third row is not sufficient for handling the road surface that has been greatly subverted, and there are more obvious shaking components. It can be said that the adjustment of the rear suspension is not as delicate as that of the front suspension. Of course, part of the reason is also the bumpy feeling brought by the large wheel rim mentioned above, so you often receive complaints from passengers in the back row. Of course, you don't need to worry. As long as the speed is lowered, these problems will become less obvious and the quietness will be in place. Summary
from the whole product of Datong MIFA 9, it can be said that the main selling point and the biggest selling point is the exaggerated space, highly comfortable aviation seats and the seven-seat layout that are treated equally, which is a very valuable highlight in the MPV market.
if the adjustment of the chassis mechanical part is more in-depth, I believe that the customers who are interested in getting started for the first time will soon show a satisfied smile. Of course, MPV users consider not only the performance of space and comfort, but also the brand influence. If Chase wants to make MIFA 9 famous, it will have to work hard in this direction.
