"Embracing Spring" is one of the theme songs of the animated movie "Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf: The Bullish Spirit". The other song is "Happy Year You Are the Best" sung by Malaysian singer A Niu.
The story of the establishment of J.O.Y. begins with the key figure and one of its members, Tomy WAI. He first entered the music industry with a band. After entering the industry, he began to contact and compose film music.
Entered the industry in 1993. In the same year, he won the "Best Film Score" award at the Hong Kong Film Awards and the Taiwan Film Golden Horse Awards for the film "The Seduction of the Monk".
To date, he has created more than 100 original film soundtracks. His works include: Playboy, Wild. Good Dog, Kidnapping, Man 40, New Police Story, Thousands of Opponents II, Sister-in-Law, Monster, Korean Strategy, Two Heroes, Blue Fireworks, Ghost World I & II, My Favorite Woman Shopaholic, Juliet and Liang Shanbo... .etc. The scope of creative work also includes the creation of TV movies, commercials, pop songs, and children's educational music.
Since Tomy originally came from a band, he very much hoped to form a group and move towards pop music.
The lead singer, Jay, met Tomy when he was judging a singing competition. Jay performed well in the competition and won the championship. For this reason, he was appreciated by Tomy and became a member of J.O.Y. The lead vocalist Jasmine was recommended by a friend when they went to Tomy's recording studio to record a jingle for a commercial. Because of Jasmine's outstanding vocal performance, she was discovered by Tomy and became a member of J.O.Y.
J.O.Y. was established in 2006. After the trio formed, they set extraordinary goals for J.O.Y. and implemented Tomy's approach of injecting film music into pop music and using unusual arrangements. The technique creates a unique color for popular music, coupled with special sound effects and exciting strings, creating a gorgeous electronic rock music direction, and is determined to add new elements to Asian music.
J.O.Y.'s first concept album (R1) is about to be released. R1 is named after the first book of the movie "Reel 1". It also represents the continuation of J.O.Y.'s song arrangement, using stories and concepts as an extension of the music. . The song concept of the first concept album (R1) is based on life, and the songs are used to share different views on life and emotions.
