Chen Yinxi, singer, lyricist
Born in an artistic family in Liaoning Province, China, her parents are both dancers. She started learning piano at the age of 4 and performed on stage at the age of 8. He studied music in the UK from the age of 24, and graduated from the Leeds Conservatory of Music in the UK in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in classical music. During her stay in the UK, she was favored by famous British jazz female singers Louise Gibbs and Tina May, and learned jazz singing from them, which laid the foundation for her subsequent singing. After completing her studies in 2005, she settled in Shanghai and started her professional singing career. She collaborated with well-known jazz musicians and bands in Shanghai and sang at famous jazz clubs, concert halls and music festivals in Shanghai, such as JZ CLUB, HOUSE OF BLUES & JAZZ, Shanghai. Concert Hall, Oriental Art Center, Shanghai Jazz Festival, Zhujiajiao Music Festival, Twin Cities Concert Series and more. In August 2008, Chen Yinxi released her first album "The Color of Love". In this album, she tried to integrate Chinese music elements into jazz. It includes seven jazz songs with Chinese lyrics written by her, original songs, and Chinese old songs. The famous British newspaper "The Guardian" described her voice as "soft and sensuous".
