In early 1935, Huang Yijun, who was a primary school music teacher in Suzhou, was introduced by someone and was admitted to the Chinese Orchestra under the Music Department of Shanghai EMI Records as a performer. Once, when EMI was producing a folk music record, a piece of music of about 5 minutes was missing. Therefore, Ren Guang, director of the music department, invited Huang Yijun to take on the role of "filler".

Although Huang Yijun has never learned composition techniques, his inner passion made this work complete in one go. Since there was no title at the time of writing, Chen Zhong from the Chinese National Band gave it the name "Happy Flowers and Full Moon" based on the cheerful and enthusiastic atmosphere of the music. Shortly after the founding of the People's Republic of China, conductor Peng Xiuwen adapted the Jiangnan silk and bamboo style "Flowers and Full Moon" into a national orchestra.

This famous piece of folk music ensemble was once performed by the China Central Broadcasting Chinese Orchestra. This time, different from the grand opening of the original silk, bamboo and wind ensemble, the Polish and Ukrainian combination Dagadana opened a more imaginative space with a smooth piano melody.
