Revelation
Revelation is a prophetic book and the only text in the Bible that talks about the future. It comes from the vision given by Christ to the apostle John, so the structure jumps , but the main line is clear and uncluttered; secondly, it uses a lot of symbolic techniques, the text is erratic, the scenes and momentum are thrilling, and a large number of prophetic "revelation" and mysterious expressions about future generations are often used in various works.
"Revelation", also known as "Apocalypse", is the last chapter of the "New Testament". It is said to be written by John, a disciple of Jesus. It is mainly a warning for the future of the world, including the future of the world. Doomsday prophecies. It is an important basis for missionaries to preach. Many of these myths and metaphors have become enduring sources of art in the Christian world.
Revelation is "the revelation of Jesus Christ" (Revelation 1:1). When the Roman Emperor Domitian persecuted the church, the apostle John was exiled to the island of Patmos, where the Lord appeared to him and showed him "things that are and things that are to come" (1:19); John is Record the truth and testimonies that you see and hear one by one (Revelation 1:3, 10:4), and it becomes the book of Revelation. The time was approximately between A.D. 94 and 96.
The Book of Revelation has a spiritual interpretation method (Spiritual Interpretation): This theory holds that all the symbols in this book are principles and principles that indicate the true God’s control of human history, and are not prophecies of specific facts. Therefore, it should be explained by principles or spiritual meaning.
John’s vision
God gave revelation to Jesus Christ, asking Him to show His servants what must come to pass. So Jesus sent a messenger to John to record what he saw and tell it to the people, as witnesses to these prophecies. Those believers who hear these prophecies and obey them will be blessed by the Lord.
John was being exiled on the island of Patmos. When the Lord's Day came, John was moved by the Holy Spirit and heard a voice saying to him: What you have seen, write it in a book and tell it to Israel. The seven churches are Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea. John heard the voice and wanted to see who was speaking, and saw seven golden lampstands. Among the lampstands was a man wearing a long robe that reached down to his feet, like the Son of Man. His chest was girdled with a golden girdle, his beard and hair were as white as snow and as white as wool, his eyes were shining like fire, his feet were shining like copper, and his voice was like the roar of a flood. He holds seven stars in his right hand, spits out a double-edged sword from his mouth, and his face is like the scorching sun, emitting thousands of golden rays. John was so frightened that he fell to the ground and lay at his feet, unable to move. Then the shining man said: Don't be afraid. I am the first and the last, the living one; I was dead, and now am I alive forever and ever; and I have the keys of death and of Hades. Therefore, write down what you have seen, what is happening now, and what will happen. Speaking of the mystery of the seven stars and the seven golden lampstands which you saw in my right hand: the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches; and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.
John knew that the Savior had appeared, so he honored the edict and wrote to the messengers of the seven churches to convey the Lord’s message.
In the letter to the messenger of the church in Ephesus, the Lord said this: I know your deeds, your labor, and your patience, and I know that you cannot tolerate evil people. You have labored for my name, and you have not grown tired. But I have one thing against you: Your first love has fallen away. Therefore remember whence you fell, and repent and do the works you did in the first place. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. The Lord also wanted John to tell him: He must listen to the Lord’s teachings, hold fast to love, and hate the evil people whom the Lord hates, and the Lord will give him the fruit of the tree of life in the Paradise of God.
In the letter to the messenger of the church in Smyrna, the Lord asked John to tell him that the Lord knew about his troubles, poverty, and the slanderous words spoken by those pretending to be Jews. The devil will put some of them in prison to be tested and suffer ten days of suffering, but there is no need to be afraid of this suffering. They must be loyal to the Lord until death, and the Lord will give them the crown of life.
In the letter to the messenger of the church in Pergamum, the Lord said: I know where you live, where Satan has his seat; when Antipas, my faithful witness, is among you, where Satan dwells and you were slain there, yet you held fast to my name and did not forsake my way.
But he was to blame because there were some among him who obeyed the teaching of Balaam and the teachings of the Nicolaitans, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the Israelites, causing them to eat things sacrificed to idols, They committed adultery; the conduct of the Nicolaitans was an abomination to the Lord.
The Lord said: Therefore repent; if you do not repent, I will come to you quickly and attack them with the sword of my mouth. The believers of the Church who listen to the Holy Word will receive the true Tradition given by the Lord.
In the letter to the messenger of the church in Thyatira, the Lord asked John to tell him that the Lord knew his actions, love, faith, diligence, patience, and more good deeds he had done. But for his behavior of allowing Jezebel, the woman who claimed to be a prophet, to seduce the Lord’s servants into committing adultery and eating sacrifices, he must condemn the unrepentant woman Jezebel and those who committed adultery with her. Be punished and suffer great tribulation; the members of the church will be repaid according to their deeds; the party of the adulteress will be killed; but those who do not follow the teaching of the adulteress and do not know the evil teachings of Satan must maintain Keep good deeds until the coming of the Lord; those who always obey the Lord's commands will receive the iron authority given by the Lord to subdue the nations, and receive the morning star given by the Lord.
In his letter to the church in Sardis, John told the messenger that none of his actions were perfect before God, so he must recall how he had received and heard God’s teachings, be alert and repent of his mistakes. . But there are those in Sardis who have not defiled their garments. Anyone who obeys the teachings of the Lord and conducts himself well will wear white clothes and walk with the Lord. The Lord will not erase his name from the book of life, but will keep it in the name of God and God. recognized his name before all the messengers.
In the letter to the church in Philadelphia, the Lord told the messenger: Because he adheres to the way of the Lord and never rejects the name of the Lord, the Lord will open the door before him and no one can close it. ; The liars of the race of Satan who pretend to be Jews will bow at his feet when the whole world is put to trial. He will be spared from trial, and he should continue to maintain his righteousness and keep his crown. The successful ones who always do righteous deeds will enter the temple of the Lord and never go out, and can be pillars in the temple. The Lord will descend the name of God and the name of the city of God to God’s New Jerusalem, and use the Lord’s name as the Lord’s name. His new name is written on the pillar.
In the letter to the church in Laodicea, the Lord told the messenger that he should not be lukewarm in his faith, should not be satisfied with the wealth in front of him, and should not forget that he was once so miserable, pitiful, and poor. It was the Lord who made him rich, enabling him to wear white clothes to cover his naked body, and to use medicine to polish his blind eyes. The Lord loved him, so he rebuked him and disciplined him. He needed to be zealous and repent of all his faults. Whoever listens to the Lord’s teachings, repents, and succeeds, the Lord will grant him to sit with the Lord on the throne of the Lord.
Afterwards, John saw a door opened in heaven, and heard a voice as loud as a trumpet, saying: Come up here, and I will show you what must happen next. Then John saw a throne in heaven, and in the middle of the throne was a man who was like a jasper or a ruby. A rainbow like an emerald surrounded the throne. Around the throne were twenty-four elders sitting in twenty-four seats. They were clothed in clothing. Dressed in white, with a golden crown on his head. There was lightning and thunder in the throne, and seven lamps of fire - the seven spirits of God - were burning in front of the throne, making the front of the throne sparkle and crystal clear.
I saw four strange creatures placed in and around the throne. These creatures were covered with eyes and each had six wings. The first was like a lion, the second was like a calf, the third had a human face, and the fourth was like an eagle; they kept saying: Holy! Holy! Holy! The Lord God is the Almighty, who was, who is, and who is to come. And the twenty-four elders fell down before the throne, and laid their crowns before the throne, saying: Our Lord and our God, you are worthy to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things; And all things were created and exist because of your will.
Then John saw that the Lord God on the throne had a hand holding a scroll filled with words, sealed with seven seals. A powerful angel declared that no one could open and read the scroll because no one could Worthy of doing so. At this time, I saw three lambs that seemed to have been slaughtered standing on the throne, four living creatures, and twenty-four elders. This lamb had seven horns and seven eyes. These are the seven spirits of God. Take it from the hand of the Lord God on the throne. After passing the scroll, only he can open the seven seals, unfold and read the scroll.
Immediately, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders each took harps and golden censers filled with incense, and fell down before the Lamb. The incense in the censers was the prayer of all the saints. .
John heard the four living creatures, the twenty-four elders, many angels around them, and all creation in heaven and earth saying the same thing: The Lamb who was slain is the one who is worthy to take the scroll and open its seven seals, and to receive authority and prosperity. , wisdom, power, honor, glory, praise; to our Lord God on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever.
The Lamb opened the first of the seven seals, and one of the four living creatures said, "Come!" A victor armed with a bow and arrows and wearing a crown appears riding on a white horse; the Lamb opens the second seal, and with another voice you come! A man riding a red horse appeared and was given authority and a big sword, indicating that he could take away peace from the earth and make people kill each other. At this time, the third seal was opened. One person held a scale in his hand and rode a horse. The black horse appeared in front of John, and a voice seemed to be heard among the four living creatures saying: One denarius of wheat will buy one liter of wheat, and one denarius of silver will buy three liters of barley; do not waste the oil or the wine.
The fourth seal was opened, and the fourth creature said again, "Come!" A man riding on a gray horse appeared, and his name was Death. With him was the underworld, and they were given authority to destroy a quarter of the people on the earth with sword, famine, pestilence, and wild beasts.
The fifth seal was opened, and some souls shouted loudly under the sacrifice: - They were killed for supporting God's way and bearing witness for God - Holy and true Lord, you don't How long will it take to judge those who live on the earth and avenge our blood? So each of them was given white robes and told to rest for a while and then they would be satisfied.
As soon as the sixth seal was opened, the heaven and the earth shook, the sun and the moon lost their light, and the stars in the sky were like a strong wind blowing off the unripe fruits from the trees and falling all over the ground. The sky is shifting, the mountains and islands are also drifting... This is the wrath of the Lamb! The kings of the earth, their ministers, their generals, their mighty men, their rich men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in caves and in dens of rocks, to hide themselves from the face of God on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb.
Then, the four angels who were in charge of the winds on the earth each stood at the four corners of the earth and silenced the wind. Another angel came up from the place where the sun rose, holding the seal of the living God and giving it to God. The servants were given seals on their foreheads. The number of those who were sealed from each of the tribes of Israel was one hundred and forty-four thousand: the tribe of Judah, the tribe of Reuben, the tribe of Gad, the tribe of Amab, the tribe of Naphtali, the tribe of Manasseh, the tribe of Simeon, the tribe of Levi, Twelve thousand each were sealed from the tribe of Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph, and Benjamin.
After that, many people from different countries and nationalities came from all directions, all dressed in white and holding palm branches in their hands. They stood before the throne and the Lamb, worshiping God on the throne and the Lamb. , praise, and all the angels fell on their faces to the ground, worshiping God and the Lamb.
One of the elders came and asked John who these men in white were and where they came from. John said: My lord, you know. So the elders told John that they had escaped from the great tribulation. Their white clothes had been washed with the blood of the Lamb. They served God in the temple day and night and no longer suffered from hunger, thirst and the sun. The Lamb shepherded them and led them. Reaching the source of the fountain of life, God wiped away their tears of sorrow.
The Lamb finally opened the seventh seal, and heaven immediately became silent. About two quarters later, the seven angels standing in front of God were given seven trumpets, and an angel holding a golden censer came Next to the altar, the incense in the censer slowly rose up to God together with the prayers of the saints. The angel filled the censer with fire from the altar and poured it onto the ground. Suddenly there was lightning and thunder, and the earth trembled.
At this time, the seven angels holding trumpets blew the trumpets. When the first angel blew his trumpet, hail mixed with fire and blood fell from the sky, and one-third of the trees and grass were burned away.
When the second angel blew his trumpet, the burning mountain rolled down into the sea, and the water turned into blood. One-third of the creatures and ships in the sea died and became bad.
When the third angel blew his trumpet, the big star called wormwood descended from heaven burning into the rivers and their water sources. Then the water in the rivers became bitter and tasted like wormwood. , and many people died.
The fourth angel sounded the trumpet, and one-third of the sun, moon, and stars were struck and dimmed. The day was no longer bright, and the night was starless.
An eagle flew in the air and cried: Three angels will sound the other trumpets. Woe to you who live on the earth! Woe to you! Woe to you!
The fifth angel sounded the trumpet, and a star fell from the sky, and opened the bottomless pit with the key of the bottomless pit. Waves of thick smoke came out of the pit, covering the sky and the sun; a group of Swarms of locusts surged out with the thick smoke. These locusts looked like war horses ready for battle. They wore golden crowns on their heads, had faces like men, hair like women, and had sharp teeth like lions. They wore iron armor on their chests and dragged scorpion tails. , they flap their wings like thousands of horses galloping, and their mission is to hurt those who do not have the mark of God on their foreheads. They use the poisonous stings on their scorpion tails to hurt these people for five months, and make these people endure such pain during this period. The pain of the scorpion sting, but he couldn't die. The messenger of the bottomless pit is the king of locusts, and his Hebrew name is Abaddon. This is the first disaster for the people on earth.
The sixth angel began to blow the trumpet, and a voice came from the four corners of the golden altar in front of God, commanding the angel who blew the trumpet: Release the four messengers who were bound at the Euphrates River. These four messengers had already vowed to kill one-third of the people. If you are released at this time, you will immediately follow your wish. I saw that they had many soldiers and horses, and the cavalry wore armor on their chests like fire, accompanied by purple horse and brimstone, as if they were burning; the horses were all majestic, with heads like lions, tails like snakes with snake heads, and the horses' mouths were constantly They spewed out fire and smoke, along with streams of brimstone, and a third of the people died at their feet. The remaining two-thirds saw this but still did not want to repent. They still worshiped demons and idols, and continued to commit murder, sorcery, adultery, and theft.
After the disaster, another angel descended from the sky. He was clothed in colorful clouds, with a rainbow around his head. His face was like a red sun, and his feet were like pillars of fire. He held a small open book in his hand, and stepped on the sea with his right foot and his left foot. He stamped his feet on the ground and shouted loudly like a lion's roar, and with this cry came seven deafening thunders. Just as John was about to write down what he saw, a word came from heaven: Seal what the seven thunders have spoken, and do not write it out. Then he was ordered to take the small scroll from the angel's hand and eat it. He was told that when he ate it, his mouth would feel as sweet as honey, but when he ate it, he would feel bitter in his stomach. John did as he was told, and sure enough it was.
The angel asked him to continue prophesying and testifying. At this time he was given a reed, and a voice told him to measure the temple of God, the altar, and the people who worshiped in the temple. The courtyard outside the temple is not to be measured, for it will be reserved for the Gentiles, who will trample the Holy City underfoot for forty-two months. And John heard again, saying: I will make my two witnesses, clothed in woolen wool, to preach a thousand two hundred and sixty days. These two men will breathe fire out of their mouths and destroy their enemies who want to harm them; on the day they preach, no rain will fall from the sky, and the water will turn to blood. They can attack the world with all kinds of disasters at any time. When they have finished their testimony, a beast from the abyss will come up and fight with them and kill them. Their bodies will remain in the streets of the great city called Egypt or Sodom for three and a half days, and the people will rejoice over it. Three and a half days later, God's vitality entered their bodies, and they were resurrected and obeyed God's call to go to heaven. Everyone who saw them was very afraid. At this time, the earth shook and the city collapsed. One-tenth of the city collapsed, and seven thousand people died. earthquake.
The seventh angel blew his trumpet, and John heard a voice from heaven announcing: The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ. So the twenty-four elders fell to the ground, worshiping Almighty God and thanking Him for being king. At this time, the temple in heaven opened, and the Ark of the Covenant appeared in the temple. Then there were lightning, thunder, earthquake, and hail.
Various visions appeared in the sky
A woman covered with the sun and the moon, with a crown of twelve stars on her head, was shouting in the pain of childbirth; a huge red dragon with seven heads wearing With seven crowns and ten horns, and a third of the stars trailing from its tail, it appears before the woman to devour the child that is about to be delivered. When a woman gives birth to a baby boy, he is immediately raptured to the throne of God, who will rule all the nations with a rod of iron. The woman followed God's guidance and fled to the wilderness, where she could survive for 1,260 days.
The archangel Michael and his messengers fought with the dragon and his messengers. The dragon was defeated and was thrown to the ground. Then he chased the woman again. The woman got a big eagle's wings and flew to the ground. In the wilderness, the dragon chased after her and sprayed water to wash away the woman. At this time, the earth opened and swallowed the flood. The woman was saved, and the dragon had to stand on the beach and get angry. This dragon is the ancient deceiving serpent, Satan the devil.
At this time, a strange beast appeared in the sea. It had ten horns and ten crowns, and its seven heads were marked with blasphemous names. It had a body like a leopard, four legs like a bear, a mouth as big as a lion, and seven heads. One of them seemed to have been injured and healed. The dragon gave his power and seat to the beast, and left it to exercise his power for forty-two months, and the beast blasphemed God, triumphed over the saints, and subdued every tribe, people, tongue, and nation.
Then another monster came up from the earth. It had horns like a lamb and its voice was like a giant monster. It exerted its power to cause fire to fall from heaven, causing everyone, big or small, rich or poor, whether they were masters or slaves, to receive a mark on their right hand or forehead. , get the name of the beast or the number of the name of the beast, the number is 666.
Meanwhile, the Lamb stood on Mount Zion with a crowd of one hundred and forty-four thousand, and on their foreheads were written the name of the Lamb and the name of his Father. They had never defiled themselves with women, and they did not tell lies. , without blemish, they are with the Lamb, singing a new song to the sound of the lyre. Three angels flew in the sky to preach the eternal gospel to the people on earth, and to tell people: The day of God’s judgment has come; the great adulterous city of Babylon has fallen; those who have received the mark of the beast and those who worship the beast will suffer Painful, restless day and night.
A white cloud came, and a man like the Son of Man sat on it, wearing a golden crown on his head, and harvested the ripe crops on the ground with a sharp sickle; another angel came out and harvested the ripe crops with a sickle. of grapes, and then pour the grapes into the intoxication of God, and blood immediately gushes out from them. Those who defeated the beast stood on the sea of ??glass, playing the harps of God and singing the songs of Moses and the Lamb. Then the temple where the ark of the testimony was kept was opened, and the seven angels in charge of the seven plagues, clothed in fine linen and girded with golden belts, came out of the temple. One of the four living creatures gave the seven angels seven golden bowls filled with the wrath of God. , letting them fall to the ground.
The first angel poured out his bowl on the ground, and those who had the mark of the beast and worshiped his image were covered with sores.
The second angel poured the bowl into the sea, and the water immediately turned into blood, and all living things in the sea died.
The third angel poured the bowl into the rivers and the sources of water, and the water also turned into blood.
The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was immediately scorching and the heat wave hit you.
The fifth angel poured the bowl onto the throne of the beast, and the kingdom of the beast was plunged into darkness. The people in the kingdom were covered with sores and were in great pain, so they uttered obscene words and bit their own tongues.
The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and the water dried up, revealing a path; three unclean spirits—the spirits of demons—came out of the mouths of frogs, dragons, beasts, and the false prophet. Vomiting out, these three demons summoned all the kings of the world to gather at Armageddon to fight.
The seventh angel poured the bowl into the air, and a voice came from the throne in the temple, saying it is finished. Then there was lightning and thunder, an earthquake, the city collapsed, the islands and mountains disappeared, and huge hail fell, hitting people. On the body.
An angel from the seven bowls summoned John and took him to the wilderness to see the great whore being punished. Then John saw a woman clothed in purple and scarlet, riding on a scarlet beast with seven heads and ten horns. She was decked out in gold, silver, and jewels. She had in her hand a golden cup filled with the filthiness of her filth and whoredom. On her forehead was written: What a mystery! Babylon the Great, the mother of harlots and all abominations in the world. The adulteress drank the blood of the saints and the witnesses of Jesus as wine, and became very drunk. John was puzzled, and the angel explained to him the mystery of the whore and the seven-headed and ten-horned beast in which she sat: The beast that was before and is not now is and will rise from the abyss and will perish. Its seven heads are the seven mountains on which the woman is seated, which are the seven kings, five of whom have fallen, one is yet to come, and the other is not yet to come; and the ten horns of the beast are the ten kings, who have not yet gained a kingdom, but once they have Receive power, and with one accord surrender it to the beast, and make war with the Lamb, but the Lamb, Lord of lords and King of kings, will overcome the beast. The waters on which the whore sat sat imply many peoples, many peoples, many nations, and many tongues. The whore is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth.
At this time, another angel with great authority came from heaven and announced loudly: Babylon has fallen! It has become the abode of devils and the nest of every unclean spirit and abominable bird.
Another voice in heaven said, "Let the people withdraw from the city, lest they suffer the punishment of the adulteress." Because of her luxury, her sin, and her unrighteousness, God will punish her twice as much, and she will suffer and mourn, and be consumed by fire. The kings of the land who committed adultery with her and the merchants who made money through her all mourned and wept for her. But the saints, apostles, and prophets who were oppressed by her rejoiced because she was punished, because God avenged them.
A powerful angel lifted a huge stone and threw it into the sea, saying that the city of Babylon would sink and disappear like this stone and would never appear again. The people sang Hallelujah (Praise the Lord) loudly in heaven, and the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God, saying "Hallelujah". The people rejoiced and rejoiced, celebrating the reign of Almighty God and preparing for the marriage supper of the Lamb.
Then John saw the heavens open, and a man on a white horse appeared. His eyes were like fire, and on his head were many crowns, and he was clothed in clothes splattered with blood. He was honest and true, for he acted righteously. His name is the Word of God. And all the hosts of heaven followed him, riding on white horses and clothed in fine white linen. And on his garment and on his thigh was written: King of kings and Lord of lords. They made war with the assembled beast, the kings of the earth, and all the soldiers, and captured the beast and the false prophet who worshiped his image, and threw them into the lake of fire that burned with brimstone, and all the soldiers and all the people who had the mark of the beast were ridden White Horse's army spit out sharp swords and killed them all. Another angel stood in the sun and called the birds to feast on their flesh. Another angel took the key and chain of the Abyss, went to catch the snake-like dragon, bound it for a thousand years, and sealed it into the Abyss.
The souls of those who were beheaded for bearing witness to Jesus and for the word of God, and those who have not worshiped the beast or his image and received the mark of the beast, are resurrected to be with Christ. Fly for a thousand years. After a thousand years, Satan will be released and deceive all the nations on earth to gather for war. Then fire will come down from heaven to consume them, and the devil will be thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are.
At this moment, a big white throne and the person sitting on the throne appeared. All the dead people stood in front of the throne. The records and the book of life were opened, and everyone was judged according to what they had done according to what was written in the books. Those whose names were not found in the book of life were cast into the lake of fire.
Finally, John saw the new heaven and new earth, the holy city New Jerusalem descending from God from heaven. A loud voice came from the throne: God will dwell with men and be their God, and they will be his people. God will wipe away their tears, and there will be no more death, sorrow, crying, or pain in the world. The past has passed away, and God has made everything new. God will give the water of life freely to the thirsty, but the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars will be cast away Into the lake of fire and brimstone.
Afterwards, one of the angels who had seven golden bowls filled with the seven future plagues took John to a great mountain and showed him New Jerusalem, the holy city coming down from God, and Tell him that this city is the bride, the wife of the Lamb. John saw that the city was filled with the glory of God, shining brightly like precious stones, like jasper, and like crystal. The tall walls of the Holy City are entirely made of jasper, and the city and the streets within the city are made of pure gold. Twelve pearls serve as the gates of the Holy City in the east, north, south, and west. There are twelve angels on the twelve gates. Guarded, the names of the twelve tribes of Israel are written on the twelve gates; the city wall has twelve foundations, each foundation is decorated with different precious stones, and the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb are written on it.
There is no temple in the holy city, because God and the Lamb are the temple of the city; the city does not need the sun or the moon to illuminate it, because the glory of God illuminates the whole city; the Lamb is the light in the city. There is no night in the city, and its gates are open day and night, and all nations walk in its light, but no one who is unclean, nor anyone who does evil or lies, nor anyone whose name is not named in the Lamb's book of life, shall enter the holy city.
There is a crystal clear river in the streets of the Holy City. The river is the water of life flowing from the throne of God and the Lamb. On both sides of the river grows the tree of life, which bears twelve kinds of fruits. , the leaves of the tree can cure diseases for all people. The throne of God and of the Lamb stands in the city, and his servants have his name written on their foreheads and serve him forever. The light of God shines upon them and makes them kings forever.
The angel once again told John that what he heard and saw was that God sent his angel to show his servants things that must soon happen. Blessed are those who obey the prophecies. John heard and said: Look there! I will come quickly. My reward is mine, to give to everyone according to his deeds. I am Alpha and Omega; I am the First and the Last; I am the Beginning and the End. … Our Lord Jesus has sent My messenger to testify these things to you for the churches. I am the root of David and his seed; I am the bright morning star.
Finally, John told everyone according to divine revelation: I testify to everyone who hears the prophecies in this book, that if anyone adds anything to this prophecy, God will add to the disasters written in this book. in him; and if any man take away anything from the prophecy of this book, God will take away his part from the tree of life, and from the holy city, which are written in this book.
