Du Yu, female, is a member of the Chinese Musicians Association, a member of the Henan Provincial Musicians Association, and a second-level guzheng player in the Third Henan Opera Troupe Orchestra of Henan Province. He studied guzheng since childhood with Professor Liang Yifu, a guzheng educator from Henan Province. He graduated from Wuhan Conservatory of Music in 1986. During his schooling, he studied under Professor Wu Qing. He participated in many instrumental music competitions held in the school and won prizes. He also won awards for the North Koreans who visited Wuhan. The performance of the heads of state of Japan, Romania and Japan was well received.
