Sonny John Moore (stage name Skrillex, born January 15, 1988) is an American DJ who was born in Los Angeles, California. He joined the rock group in 2001 and served as the lead singer, keyboardist and guitarist from beginning to end. Participated in the recording of two albums, but left the band in 2007. Moore released his first solo mini album "Gypsyhook EP" in 2009 and began performing under the stage name Skrillex.

In 2010, he released the mini-album "My Name Is Skrillex" and released it on MySpace. The subsequent releases of "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" and "More Monsters and Sprites" made him famous and He was nominated for Best New Artist at the 54th Grammy Awards and won three awards for Best Dance Recording, Best Electronic/Dance Album and Best Non-Classical Mixed Recording.
