1. Peng Pai (1896-1929), a native of Haifeng, a Chinese proletarian revolutionary and the king of the Chinese peasant movement. One of the early leaders of the Party’s peasant movement. His original name was Peng Hanyu, a native of Qiaodong Community, a suburb of Haifeng County, Guangdong Province (now Haicheng Town, Haifeng County, Shanwei City, Guangdong Province). He had used pseudonyms such as Wang Zi'an and Meng An.

Born from an industrial and commercial landlord family. He joined the Chinese Socialist Youth League in 1921 and transferred from the League to the Communist Party of China in early 1924.
