Arcade Tower Old Street

There are two old streets in Haikou, the most famous of which is the Arcade Tower Old Street in Haikou. Qilou Old Street is divided into Qilou Snack Street and Qilou Old Street. They are not in the same place and take about ten minutes to walk. Qilou Snack Street is the same as Taipei Night Market, selling different snacks at different stalls. It’s about 50 per person when you’re full. Qilou Old Street is a bit like the buildings in Xiamen, with retro bell towers and red bricks. It's very beautiful and you can take some photos, but you can basically finish it by walking down one street.

Feng Xiaogang Film Commune

The performance draws on many elements from Stephen Chow's movies and reinterprets the plot of the Hammer Gang's street supremacy in a humorous way.

Wuzhizhou Island

Yanoda Tropical Rainforest Park

Take a day trip directly from the hotel, because Yanoda is only 70 kilometers away from Haitang Bay, a taxi cost 150 yuan is pretty good, plus the original 158 yuan ticket to Yanoda, and a tour guide and shuttle. This is a hassle-free trip.

Yanoda is a 5A-level scenic spot. It is the only tropical rainforest in China located at 18 degrees north latitude. It is the concentration of the five major tropical rainforests in Hainan Island. It is the most ornamental tropical rainforest resources exhibition hall and can be called China’s diamond rainforest. Scenic spots (from Baidu), but really not bragging. You can see a variety of plants inside. There are also tour guides who can explain to you the uses and characteristics of various plants. If you want to go and see it by yourself without a tour guide, you will definitely not feel anything special when you visit. Therefore, it is better to hire a tour guide for this scenic spot. Originally I thought I was not very interested in plants, but after playing for a day, I found that it was actually very interesting and I learned a lot of knowledge. Nanhai Guanyin is also a one-day tour reported by the hotel, and it seems to be 200 yuan per person. I don’t remember clearly, but similarly, if you take a taxi from Haitang Bay Hotel, the round trip is 130km and the taxi cost is nearly 400 yuan. Tickets for Nanhai Guanyin are 150 yuan/person.

Nanhai Guanyin is an attraction in Nansha. It is a large-scale 5A-level scenic spot in China that displays Buddhist culture. Among them, the 108-meter Guanyin on the Sea is a well-deserved highlight and is a treasure of the island that is famous throughout Hainan. I heard from the uncle driver in Hainan that since Hainan has this Guanyin, typhoons rarely land in Hainan. I don’t know if it’s true or not, but it’s always good to be in awe. So that day we followed a docent/tour guide who practiced Buddhism, learned about Buddhist traditional culture, and worshiped the Buddha.

In fact, it is best to hire a tour guide to go to these places of worship and listen to some explanations. They will tell you what each Buddha is responsible for, the posture of worshiping the Buddha, the words spoken in the mouth, etc. The knowledge of worshiping Buddha is also very profound, so learn it from your teacher.

Tianya Haijiao

"Tianya" and "Haijiao" are two big rocks. Legend has it that a man and woman in love came from two feuding families. Their love was opposed by their own people, so they were forced to flee here, both jumped into the sea, turned into two big rocks, and faced each other forever. Later generations carved the words "Tianya" and "Haijiao" to commemorate their loyal love. Later, when men and women fell in love, they often expressed their feelings by saying "we will always be together wherever we go". Therefore, many couples come to this place to take photos and take away the beautiful meaning.

There are many people taking pictures in front of Tianya Stone and Haijiao Stone, but there are not many people walking on the beach, which is quite pleasant.
