Hisaishi Joe, born on December 6, 1950 in Nakano City, Japan, is a Japanese musician, composer, and pianist. Graduated from Japan National University of Music. In 1992, Joe Hisaishi won the Best Music Award at the 15th Japan Film Awards for "That Summer's Sea of ??Silence". In 1999, "Princess Mononoke" scored by Joe Hisaishi won the Bronze Award at the 17th JASRAC Awards.
