2013 Financial Times European Business School Ranking 53 The school has 14 Student dormitory area. Dormitories are divided into ordinary dormitories and dormitories with meals. There are also dormitories specially provided for married students. The Student Housing Office also assists students in renting private housing off campus. 95% of freshmen live on campus; 48% of all students live on campus. There are 3,000 dormitories with meals included, and the weekly rent is over £137.39. There are 1,700 dormitories where you can cook your own meals, with a weekly rent of over £99.89. The minimum rental period for dormitories is one semester.
Various activities. There is live music, weekend disco and free bar bands. There is a cinema on campus with two screenings per week. There is a sports center on campus. Tickets for sports games and events sold on campus are discounted for students. The Student Services Center (SMSC) provides all aspects of consultation and information services. The center also has a team of consultants with expertise in certain areas, such as international affairs, housing, health, funding and academic issues. If the center is unable to provide students with the information they need, center staff will seek help from outside groups or a department within the school, such as the health center, counseling office, career advisory office and accommodation office. The University of Reading runs a distinctive and proactive intramural sports program to give all students the opportunity to participate in physical activity. Over the years, the university organizes various social sports activities, such as 7-a-side rugby, 5-a-side football or 6-a-side hockey matches.
There are study guidance counselors, overseas student instructors, and health centers with doctors, dentists, psychologists, etc. There are also after-school counselors, legal advisors, married student service staff and kindergartens.
