Mao Amin, born in Shanghai on March 1, 1963, is a singer and actor in Mainland China.

Officially debuted in 1985 with the release of his first album "Hot Coffee". In 1987, he won the third prize for singing performance at the Yugoslavia International Music Festival with his song "The Love of Green Leaves for Roots". He was the first Chinese pop singer to win an award in an international pop song competition.

On January 17, 2011, he was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award in the Chinese Music Circle at the Beijing Pop Music Ceremony.
