Introduction to Jiang Kemei

Jiang Kemei, born in Shenyang, Liaoning, is a Huqin player. In early 1988, on the eve of her university graduation, she held the "Jiang Kemei Huqin Solo Concert" at the Beijing Concert Hall, using five kinds of Huqin to perform works of different styles, and she has since won the reputation of the "Five Huqin Music Girl".

Character experience:

At the age of 13, she was admitted to the Central Conservatory of Music and studied under Banhu educator Professor Li Heng. During her several years of school life, she studied diligently and practiced hard. In addition to majoring in Banhu, she also systematically studied Jinghu, Gaohu, Erhu and Zhonghu.

Although there are similarities among these Huqins, there are even more obvious differences. In order to learn the art from teachers, she traveled north and south, receiving careful guidance from famous Huqin teachers in the North and South. She learned from the best of all and integrated them to form her own unique playing style.
