The Meng Minwei Concert Hall was donated by Mr. Meng Minwei, chairman of Hong Kong Industrial Group and Tsinghua alumnus. Academician Li Daozeng of Tsinghua Architectural Design Institute serves as the chief designer.

Professor Shi Huibin presides over the architectural acoustic design . As a landmark building for the centenary celebration of Tsinghua University, it was completed at the same time as the New Tsinghua Academy Grand Theater. The auditorium has 510 seats, including pool seats and first-floor seats. The stage opening is 12 meters wide and 7 meters high. Lighting, audio and stage machinery are configured according to professional performance requirements, and are mainly used to hold medium-sized performances such as concerts, dramas, operas, dance dramas and various large and medium-sized conferences.
