It's winter vacation, and my mother enrolled me in an Erhu training class. To tell the truth, I'm not interested in erhu at all. The dark color, with only two strings, looks like an unearthed cultural relic, which is incompatible with modern music. If I had a choice, I would choose piano or violin. How elegant and poetic. Since mom signed up, go to school!

At the beginning of practicing the empty string, the erhu made a "creaking" sound, which was so ugly! This is the worst sound I have ever heard. So I had the idea of giving up learning erhu, but I had already paid the tuition, so I had to bite the bullet and learn. One morning, as soon as I got to the door of the classroom where I was studying erhu, I heard a pleasant sound in the classroom. It turned out that the teacher was playing "Two Springs Reflecting the Moon"! How beautiful! I can't believe this is the sound played by erhu. So, I made up my mind to learn this "antique"!

After that, I made a study plan and increased the intensity of practice, starting with the most basic sitting posture and fingering. I'm not afraid of blisters on my fingers. What a hard work pays off! Soon, I learned to pull the empty string and practice fingering. Through the efforts of this holiday, I gradually learned to play simple songs, such as "Pastoral Spring" and "Mountain Spring Chu Xiao" ... I feel extremely happy when I listen to myself playing beautiful little songs. Because it is bought with hard work and sweat, no pains, no gains. I also think erhu is a classical instrument, which has a unique sound and a beautiful expression. I like erhu, and I like its sound even more.

In this winter vacation, I not only learned to play the erhu, but also learned how to overcome difficulties and self. I think that with determination, patience and perseverance, all difficulties will disappear.
