Han Bing is a famous pianist and educator.
He studied in the Middle School Attached to Shanghai Conservatory of Music and the Middle School Attached to Central Conservatory of Music, under the guidance of Shen Mei and Professor Chen Bigang. In 1992, he won the prize in the first China Piano Competition sponsored by the Ministry of Culture of China. In 1994, he was awarded a seven-year full scholarship by Manhattan Conservatory of Music and went to the United States for further study. In 21, he received his master's degree with the highest honors, and studied under Solomon Mizkowski and the famous pianist Constance King successively.
At the age of 21, Han Bing performed Ravel's left-handed piano concerto in D major with the Manhattan Symphony Orchestra, which was performed by Kurt mazur, a world-famous conductor and former music director of new york Philharmonic Orchestra.
