Abstract: "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai" is a love story that has been circulating in our country for a long time, and is named after Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". The heroine of the story, Zhu Yingtai, is the daughter of a member of the Zhu Family Village. On her way to Hangzhou to study, she disguised herself as a man and met Liang Shanbo, a scholar who also went to Hangzhou to study. Enthusiastic. Reluctantly, Zhu Yuanwai had betrothed Yingtai to the son of the prefect. Liang Shanbo fell into depression and died soon after. Zhu Yingtai was in grief and vowed to die. In the end, he and Liang Shanbo turned into two butterflies and flew away freely. This is a beautiful, sad and touching love story, and the violin concerto "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai" is based on this story, using musical notes to interpret the composer's understanding of this beautiful story. My appreciation mainly analyzes from three aspects: the legend of "Butterfly Lovers", the background information of the composer, and the emotional changes expressed during the performance of the music.

Text:
"Butterfly Lovers" is a beautiful, sad and touching love story, which can be said to be a household name in our country. The violin concerto "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai" was also created with this background.
The violin concerto "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai" was composed in 1959. The authors are He Zhanhao and Chen Gang. He Zhanhao is familiar with violin and Yue opera music, while Chen Gang has a comprehensive grasp of various composition techniques. When they composed "Butterfly Lovers", they were all students at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Chen Gang is currently a professor at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and a famous composer in my country.
In order to explore the path of nationalization and popularization of our country's symphony, the two authors followed the policy of "serving the past for the present and foreign countries for China's use", broke away superstition, had the courage to practice, and chose folklore familiar to the broad masses of our country. The theme of the love story "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai" is based on Yue opera singing as the musical material. It adopts the foreign genre of concerto and absorbs the rich expression techniques of Chinese opera music. The charming melody, vivid musical image, rich national style and distinctive local characteristics make this work deeply rooted in people's hearts. It is affectionately called "our own symphonic music" by the masses. In the nationalization of music, A gratifying step has been taken on the road. In the past thirty years, it has traveled across the ocean and flown to various parts of the world, performing in the Soviet Union, the United States, Britain, France and other countries. It has received high praise from the world's music scene and won honors for the motherland. In Hong Kong, it won the Gold Record Award and Platinum Record Award four times in a row; abroad, this piece of music is widely known as "Butterfly Love" and is welcomed by people of different skin colors.
The music begins with an introduction. The short intro music shows us a beautiful and moving picture.
Then, accompanied by light harp, the solo violin appeared simple, sweet and deep, expressing the sincere and sweet love of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai. Then, the melody played by the cello and the solo violin formed a reciprocal response. This piece of music is deeply emotional and graceful, showing us the touching scene of the Butterfly Lovers' affectionate sworn vows by the grass bridge pavilion. After the dialogue, the band's ensemble reproduced the theme of love, fully demonstrating Butterfly Lovers' unswerving faith in love. Next, the solo violin played a transitional section from the main part to the subpart, and at the end, a lively and bright Allegro was introduced. This jumping and light Allegro formed a sharp contrast with the gentle and affectionate love theme. Then the solo violin alternates with the orchestra. This piece of music is sometimes bright and cheerful, sometimes gentle and happy, and sometimes passionate and unrestrained, which naturally reminds us of the various life scenes of Butterfly Lovers' classmates for three years, spending time together day and night: they were either singing and laughing, or having long conversations, or chasing and playing, or It is tender and affectionate.
This piece of music once again fully embodies the two aspects of life between Butterfly Lovers from different angles: the innocent learning life and the gradual emergence of sincere love.
The music turned into an adagio, and the solo violin played a staccato and intermittent music that was changed from the main love theme. It expressed Zhu Yingtai's shy and unspeakable inner feelings. Then, the violin and cello played a lingering and affectionate repartee melody, which vividly, delicately and lovingly presented to us the inseparable scene of farewell and farewell in the pavilion, which is poetic and picturesque and attracts people's imagination.
Suddenly, the low, eerie sound of gongs and drums hinted at an ominous omen. The band plays stereotyped, repetitive tones and takes us into the midst of a tragic struggle. Then, the solo violin played Zhu Yingtai's panicked and grief-stricken tones, showing Zhu Yingtai's heroic spirit of refusing to obey the feudal ethics and standing up to resist. Next, Zhu Yingtai's anti-marriage tone alternated with the brutal feudal forces' tone, forming the focus of the conflict, which finally developed into a tragic and indignant scene of Yingtai's tragic resistance to marriage. Immediately after this exciting and powerful resistance melody, the whole band played a brighter tone. This tone is based on the melody of the eighteenth farewell in the previous closing part. It represents the light of hope imagined by kind people, forming The first climax of the whole song. But the fantasy disappears in an instant, and the stereotyped tone appears again, which indicates that feudal rule is as heavy as a rock, and the good hopes of kind people are difficult to realize.
The music turns to Adagio, and the solo violin plays an euphemistic melody that is heart-wrenching and heart-wrenching. It interacts with the cello again, depicting the scene of Butterfly Lovers meeting on the balcony to express their heartfelt sorrow and sadness to each other.
The bangu suddenly broke in and the sound of percussion created a tense atmosphere. The music is sometimes passionate and decisive, sometimes low and deep, vividly expressing the image of Zhu Yingtai facing the sky angrily accusing the sins of the feudal forces and bursting into tears with grief. When Zhu Yingtai pointed her head to the sky and stepped on the earth and gave her last shout, gongs, drums and orchestral music sounded in unison, Yingtai jumped into the grave, and the whole song reached its climax.
The music returned to a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, and the flute once again played the introductory phrases. At this time, the violin again played the love theme lyrically and slowly, adding to the hazy wonderland color. Here, the author uses romantic expression techniques to show the people's kind ideals, as if the harsh winter has passed and the bright spring has come to the world again. A pair of colorful butterflies are accompanying each other, dancing gracefully among thousands of flowers, and they sometimes fly , rest from time to time, very carefree and at ease. This is the incarnation of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai. They could not get married during their lifetime, but they must fly together after death.
Finally, the whole band played the love theme in unison, which poured out like a torrent, expressing the people's deep sympathy for the tragic fate of Butterfly Lovers and their infinite yearning for a better life in the future.
The music expresses the strong resistance spirit of the young man and woman Liang Zhu to feudal ethics, praises their unswerving love, and expresses the people's yearning for a better life. While enjoying this piece of music, I also achieved the enjoyment of beauty.
