Shandong Qilu Conservatory of Music (Qilu Normal University) is privately run. The predecessor of the Conservatory of Music of Qilu Normal University was a private school with a music department founded in 1998. In January 2011, it was renamed the Conservatory of Music of Qilu Normal University.

The college has two full-time general undergraduate majors in musicology and dance, and two full-time general junior college majors in music education and music performance.

The college currently has 57 faculty members and 51 full-time teachers. Among the full-time teachers, there are 5 professors, 10 associate professors, and 33 lecturers, with associate professors. The proportion of teachers with senior professional titles or above is 29%, 2 have doctoral degrees, and 42 have master's degrees, accounting for approximately 88% of the total number of full-time teachers. Six professors from the school have been hired as postgraduate tutors by Qufu Normal University.
