The script of this dance drama was written by teacher Tang Dong. The story is based on the "Three Heroes of the He Family" of Guangzhou Shawan musicians. The protagonist of the play is adapted from the names of He Liutang, He Yunian and He Shaoxia. "He Liunian" and his cousin "He Shaoyan". The story takes place in Sanmin Hall, Shawan, Guangdong in the 1930s. Before his death, He Liunian's father asked him to complete the unfinished music "Dragon Race to Win the Gold" and betrothed Pan Hongying to him. However, He Liunian had already fallen in love with Xu Chunling. The plot begins with He Liunian's love, and then adds elements of the Anti-Japanese War to reflect the lyrical and delicate emotions of Guangdong music and the spirit of concerted progress.
