Wang Yunyi, a well-known jazz singer in China, was born in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province. He studied piano when he was 6 years old and switched to guitar when he was 10 years old. Later, he was admitted to a local music school to study composition. At the age of 15, he began to experiment with jazz style, sang on stage, and recorded theme songs for TV shows. After graduation, he went south alone and toured with many bands in Shenzhen, Chengdu and other places. Most of the songs were cover songs. Later, he returned to his hometown and served as a singer and guitarist in a two-person band mainly focusing on blues and country styles. Since coming to Beijing in 2006, he has performed with many outstanding musicians at home and abroad, and has successively formed the Hotline-1618 Jazz Band, the Frank Segen Quartet, Xiao Hui and the Trio Big Bang (Elvaamp; Trio B), and Xiao Hui and the Lemon Trio (Elvaamp; Lemon Trio). ).
