Himekami, whose real name is Yoshiaki Hoshi, has been performing music for more than 20 years. Since he won the best award in the Victor Electronic Music Competition in 1971, his work style is representative of Iwate Prefecture, Japan. It mainly focuses on folk songs and traditional folk music of the Northeast, creating music that is both new and unique.
Xing Yizhao changed his stage name to "Hime God" in 1984. He has released twenty original albums since his solo performance. In 1998, he won the 40th Japan Record Award for his song "Jomon Current - Wind of Jomon 3". In addition, two works released by the American company Higher Octave have received great acclaim around the world. Himegami's music soon spread throughout the world.
In recent years, "Himegami" has mainly performed outdoors. In addition to Japan, it has also held large-scale concerts for thousands of people around the world, including Spain, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, etc. Such performances continue to receive high praise. Especially in 2000, he performed outdoors in front of the pyramids in Giza, Egypt, and held a concert in the Museum Square in Jerusalem, Israel, both of which were highly talked about.
After more than 20 years of music activities, "Hime God" finally launched his first Voices-Best! It is estimated that this disc can also create ever-changing colors, and the harmonies are so shocking to the soul. These sixteen hymns with unique spirituality of nature happen to be a wonderful suite of sounds from the sky!
In particular, in recent years, "Himegami" has used Northeastern folk songs as a template, and formed "Himegami Voices" with the real voice choir, and Hoshiyoshiaki's eldest son Hoshiyoshiki also served as his Musical partners, performing together on albums and concerts. The evolution of "Himegami Ichi" from a solo performance to a large music chorus group fully demonstrates the unique and noble potential of "Himegami" music.
