2. Keyboard instrument performance major, orchestral instrument performance major, Chinese musical instrument performance major, theoretical composition major, music and dance major (comprehensive music performance direction), musical instrument repair major: good health, normal development, and good facial features , the corrected visual acuity is not less than 0.8. Physiology meets professional requirements and has a certain professional level.

3. Vocal singing major: good health, good image, corrected visual acuity not less than 0.8, good voice condition, height not less than 1.57 meters for girls and not less than 1.67 meters for boys (excellent professional performance If required, the height requirement may be relaxed appropriately).

4. Music and dance major (dance and music direction): good health, correct image, and a certain dance foundation. Grade 1: Girls should be no less than 1.57 meters tall and boys should be no less than 1.67 meters tall. Second year of high school: The height of girls should not be less than 1.60 meters, and the height of boys should not be less than 1.70 meters (height requirements can be relaxed appropriately for those with excellent professional performance).

The Secondary Music School Affiliated to Xinghai Conservatory of Music is the only secondary music professional school in South China. It is supervised by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education and Xinghai Conservatory of Music. The school was founded in 1957, formerly known as Guangzhou Music School.

In 1985, in memory of People’s Musician Xian Xinghai, the school was renamed the Middle Music School Affiliated to Xinghai Conservatory of Music. In 2009, it was recognized by the Ministry of Education as the third national key secondary music vocational school after the High School Affiliated to the Central Conservatory of Music and the High School Affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
