Luonan County is a low-key county deep in the Qinling Mountains and south of Huashan Mountain. Foodies may think of the walnuts here, and cultural people may think of the legend that Cangjie invented Chinese characters here. In addition, many people probably don’t know about this remote place. Let’s give two examples! I wrote an article about Luonan tourism a few days ago, and a Henan netizen left a message for me, saying that Luonan County is a county "south of Luoyang, Henan Province"; I used to think that Luonan is located "below Shangluo, Shaanxi Province". "South", only when I came here did I know that it is the northernmost county among the six counties in Shangluo District 1.
The Luo River crosses the entire territory of Luonan from west to east. There are many canyons and hills in the territory, and the forest coverage rate is very high, which is very suitable for the development of tourism. There are many interesting attractions in the county. In the southwest of the county, there is a scenic spot with a very romantic name-China Luonan Music Town. There is no admission fee. The scenic spot mainly includes music square, music style street, music hotel and B&B guesthouses. Tens of thousands of acres of flowers, Sihao Thatched Cottage, children's playground, artists' commune and Linglun Cultural Research Institute and other attractions.
This is a project for which Jiangsu Province invested hundreds of millions of yuan to support the construction. The county committee and county government are also very concerned about this project and have signed agreements with Shaanxi Performing Arts Group, Shaanxi Radio and Television Media, Migu Music, etc. to reach cooperation. With so many high-end media supports, the strange thing is that there have been very few tourists. Walking around the town, there are very few people staying in the B&Bs. Most of the quaint antique shops on both sides of the Fengqing Commercial Street are closed. Although it is the only 4A-level scenic spot in Luonan, its popularity is far less than that of the nearby Cangjie Garden and Mantou Mountain Park.
When it comes to Cangjie Garden, we must first talk about Cangjie. According to historical documents and legends, Cangjie was the historian of the Yellow Emperor. He was inspired by the footprints of birds and animals and created 28 hieroglyphics, so he was called "The Saint who created characters", because of him, the Chinese nation entered the beginning of civilization recorded in words. In order to commemorate this originator of Han culture, people in Luonan County built Cangjie Garden in Mantou Mountain Ecological Park and created a statue of Cangjie, which became Luonan County. A symbol of southern cultural life, Cangjie culture has become the golden signature of Luonan County’s cultural tourism.
Next, let’s talk about why a music town should be built near Cangjie Garden? Because Luonan is not only the place where Sheng Cangjie created the characters, but also the place where Ling Lun created the music.
Who is Linglun? He is the originator of music and is revered as the "God of Music" by later generations. Legend has it that Emperor Xuanyuan visited Luonan, accompanied by the historian Cangjie and the music officer Linglun. Cangjie had an enlightenment based on the traces of birds and animals on the banks of the Luo River, and pioneered the development of Chinese characters. course. Ling Lun had a sudden enlightenment based on the sounds of birds and animals on the Huan'an Mountain, and created the Chinese 5-note and 12-tone rhythm, which promoted the development of Chinese music. At that time, on the mountain, the sounds of wind, rain, thunder, birds, insects, phoenixes, branches swaying, beasts and pythons roaring... these wonderful natural sounds made Ling Lun who was accompanying him feel like I was obsessed with it, and after a long period of thinking and research, I finally created the 5-note 12-tone rhythm, which had a profound impact on the development of Chinese music. Luonan Music Town came into being amid such a profound cultural and historical background.
Because of the two legendary historical literati Cangjie and Linglun, it is not an exaggeration to say that Luonan is the founding place of Chinese civilization. Cangjie Garden in Luonan is somewhat famous, and the legend of Cangjie's creation of characters has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. However, the story of Ling Lun's creation of music in Luonan is recorded in many historical books such as "Hanshu" and "Lu's Spring and Autumn Period: Ancient Music". But few people know about it. Thinking about the singers in today's society who are wildly sought after and have countless fans, Ling Lun, the originator of music, is rarely known. It has to be said that it is a failure of cultural education.
The Luonan County Party Committee and County Government also want to make the music town famous, and they have a very high foothold. They call the town "China's Luonan Music Town". How about in the vast land of China? How many scenic spots dare to use the word "China" as a prefix?
Relying on the beautiful ecology of the Qinling Mountains, the government is ambitiously preparing to build a national music industry brand, introduce music industry base projects, musical instrument production and sales projects, build Qinling Qifengwan University Town, ski resorts, children's paradise, etc.
The Linglun Culture and Arts Festival is held regularly to explore and inherit traditional culture and promote the development of music and cultural industries. June 21 this year is the summer solstice and also the Linglun Music Day. The "China Luonan Music Town Linglun Culture and Art Festival" hosted by Luonan County Party Committee and Luonan County Government opened. I was fortunate to attend the opening. style and watched the artistic performance.
A lot of publicity work has been done, but unfortunately little effect has been achieved. In the Internet society, the government seems to lack the concept of Internet publicity, and just let a few official media publicity reports and then hastily ended the matter. Small, the place names reported in the media are not even consistent. This place is already remote, and the address is scrawled. No wonder foreign tourists don’t know Luonan Music Town and why it is named “Music Town”? I don’t even know which mountain “Ling Lun’s Creation Music” is located on? What is the correct name of the mountain?
Since the music town focuses on the brand of "Linglun Culture", the place where it creates music should be sacred, and the writing and naming of place names should also be rigorous. It's a pity that not to mention ordinary people, even well-known media can't figure it out! It feels like a mess to me as an outsider!
To give a few examples, the "Shaanxi Legal Network" official website video account legal system pilot, on June 22, the second day after the opening of the Linglun Culture and Art Festival, reported: Linglun created The place is "囫囵山", and the Linglun Pavilion has been built on the mountain (it was being renovated when I saw it). Shaanxi Science and Technology Media, Sina Shaanxi Shangluo Channel, China Economic Weekly and other media reported on the opening ceremony on the day of the opening ceremony. The titles were all "Opening of China Luonan Music Town Linglun Culture and Art Festival". The article pointed out: Music official Linglun At the foot of Hulun Mountain, I heard the sound of the phoenix, and after repeated speculations, I created the first five-tone twelve-note Han music. In other words, the place name was written as "Hulun Mountain". When I visited the music town, I checked the map. The Baidu map marked "Hulei Mountain", which is located on the south side of the town. It is also the "Huan'an Mountain" where the Linglun Pavilion was built according to the "Shaanxi Legal Network" . Such a sacred and cultural mountain is written in different ways, showing disrespect and imprecision towards history and culture.
I stayed in the music town for a few days and asked the staff of the town what the name of the nearby mountain (the mountain where Ling Lun composed the 12-temperature music mentioned in the media) was called. They themselves didn’t know the name of the mountain, and some staff even didn’t know that this mountain was the legendary mountain where “Ling Lun composed the music”.
I originally wanted to write a travel note today, but I digressed. Maybe it was because I saw that Luonan, a national-level poverty-stricken county that had just escaped from poverty, invested huge sums of money to build a cultural town, but tourists did not buy it, so I thought Be anxious! That’s all I wrote.
I suddenly thought that it would be better to change the lofty name of "China Luonan Music Town" to "Luonan Linglun Cultural Town" to have a sense of history and culture! What are "Hulun Mountain", "Hulun Mountain" and "Hulei Mountain"! Although the pronunciation is similar, the writing is confusing. It is recommended that the local government organizes the Geographical Names Committee, the County Chronicle Research Office and other personnel to unify the name of the mountain. I personally think that it is more appropriate to call it "Linglun Mountain", which corresponds to the name of Cangjie Garden on the north side. After all, Cangjie and Linglun are both cultural icons of Luonan. The people of Luonan established "Cangjie Garden" in memory of Cangjie. Why not name "Linglun Mountain" or "Linglun Cultural Town" in memory of Linglun? This is fair!
