This music school is okay. What instrument did you learn, piano or orchestra? Excellent schools like the Hannover University of Music and Drama and the Berlin University of the Arts have high standards and are not easy to graduate from or get into. I have a friend who entered the Cologne University of Music and studied piano and felt pretty good.
Nowadays, when entering general music conservatories, many offer international courses. You can apply in English to those schools with conditions for zulassung. For example, the one in Cologne mentioned just now, you can apply in English. Then go to a German language class for underachievers to learn German. I don’t remember clearly whether DSH requires 1 or 2. It depends on the requirements of different schools. Of course, if you can have 800 hours of German classes in China, that would be even better, and the school would be more willing to have it.
If you have zero basic knowledge of German, you can go to Beijing Foreign Studies University, Rheinspring, or New Oriental. My basic class is at Beijing Foreign Studies University, and I learned daf at Rheinspring. I think it’s okay. Then I’ll work harder and study harder. Lay the foundation.
The doctoral program is not very clear. I have never met anyone who has a PhD in music. I laughed at it, but I don’t know much about it.
Hope these are helpful to you
