Character evaluation
“Xin Fengnian is not a musician, not a music critic (in China, music critics have not yet been born), not a writer, not a critic, not a scholar. He can’t even be considered an intellectual, because his education level is that he dropped out of junior high school in the second grade. Today, it will be more troublesome no matter where he applies for a job,” Xin Fengnian’s son Yan Feng once wrote in the article “My Father Xin Fengnian.”
"The old man is a legend. The pride of music lovers," music critic Liu Xuefeng said.
Zhu Wei, the editor-in-chief of Sanlian Life Weekly, said on Weibo: "The old man chose this day when the flowers are fragrant and the moon is full, and he wishes to be accompanied by the music he likes all his life. I don't know Mr. Xin, he himself Since the 1980s, he has been talking about classical music in "Reading" magazine and "Music Fans' Chat" has influenced countless people. Living in a small city like Nantong, classical music has connected such a large world - his life has been warmed by music. It’s happiness.”
