Look at it slowly, it is useful. There is no fixed experience in cooking boxes, and the methods vary from one enthusiast to another. However, you can still see patterns.
It can be roughly divided into three stages
First of all, the first stage is called signal bombing. It uses a special signal disc to continuously play signals from 20Hz to 20KHz.
Basically, audiophiles have such discs in their hands, and the disc records sine wave signals from 20Hz to 20KHz.
The effect of looping from low frequency to high frequency is very good. Maybe you can't find the signal dish, so what should you do?
There is a way to use a fever disc instead, such as the famous Hugo fever disc. It's still the same old method,
From low frequency to high frequency, intensively bombard with signals. After a while of this, I guess it's almost done. In addition,
Some speaker testing software can also generate pure sine wave signals. When playing, the volume should be turned up to the maximum safe volume
(Note, not the maximum volume! Be sure to pay attention to the speaker manual the safe volume marked above). Since the signal disc is not music,
so the sound is loud and noisy. What should I do? We generally have two methods:
1. Isolation method: Place the speaker in a well-insulated and unoccupied room, and just close the door.
But what should we do if most people don’t have such conditions? We can use thick quilts to wrap the speakers to achieve sound insulation.
But we must pay attention to the heat dissipation of the speakers. Failure to do so may cause damage to the speaker.
2. Phase cancellation method: Place the left and right speakers face to face with opposite phases.
This way the sounds cancel each other out and the unit still works properly. The closer the left and right speakers are, the better.
The less noise there will be. This method is very suitable for continuous testing of the box day and night. People do not need to watch it and can just sleep soundly.
After more than 4 hours of this, we can enter the next stage.
The next phase is what I call band-intensive bombing. At this stage, we need to select some distinctive music in the frequency band to play back, so that the speakers can be trained in "actual combat". We need to choose music that is distinctive in the low, mid and high frequencies. In terms of low frequency,
There are the famous One-Stop (the bass of electronic synthesized instruments, which dives deeply), Drum Poetry (testing the explosive power of low frequency),
Ajie Gu (the "speaker's" "Low Frequency Killer"). The mid-range can be Tsai Chin (the sibilance, delicacy, texture and mouth shape of the mid-range), or Tengger's paradise (the thickness and extension of the mid-range). High frequencies can be string music, such as Butterfly Lovers (high frequency delicacy and texture),
Piano music (high frequency airiness and granularity). Through the continuous playback of these music pieces, the purpose of opening up the 3rd channel can be achieved.
This stage should not be less than 50 hours. Then we can move to the next stage.
The last stage is called the full-frequency bombing period. At this stage, we focus on honing the full frequency band. At this stage we can finally
enjoy the music. The famous Hotel California is very suitable for the whole spectrum. In addition, symphony is also a good choice.
We can lean back on the chair, listen carefully to the natural sounds from the speakers, and enjoy the results of the first two stages. As time goes by
(2 weeks), it is estimated that your speakers can "make sound".
There are also some enthusiasts who think that cooking a pot is like cooking soup. I think it is very interesting and reasonable, and it is necessary to introduce it.
1. Rapid fire cooking (soup making): The first stage mentioned above belongs to this example. Use the maximum safe volume,
Sometimes you even risk burning the speaker. Turn up the volume to the maximum and continue bombing for a long time.
2. Simmer the pot (soup): The second stage mentioned above belongs to this example. The volume is appropriate and the pot is cooked in a targeted manner.
The leisurely cooking method.
3. Slow cooking (soup making): Just use the speaker normally and let nature take its course.
Combining these three types, making a pot is like making a delicious soup, so cool!
A set of my own box-making methods, mainly like this.
1. Play signals from 20Hz to 20KHz at normal volume for more than 2 hours. Then switch to the maximum safe volume and play for 2 hours.
2. Use 20Hz low-frequency signal to play at the maximum safe volume, and then play at 20KHz. 2 hours is enough.
3. The following uses songs that are good at low frequencies, such as "Going My Own Way", "Drum Poetry", etc., and they are played continuously at normal volume. Open up the low frequency!
4. Use music that is good at mid-frequency. I often use Tsai Chin, Tengger’s Paradise, and slightly increase the volume.
(The volume should reach a level that allows the mid-bass unit to fully move) Continuous Play.
7. Use symphony (Beethoven is a good choice, Hero, Destiny, Pastoral, Chorus) to continuously bomb, and it will take one day
Alternate 8.6 and 7.
9. Enter the rest period and play your favorite music normally. But pay attention to the time, it should not be less than 4 hours a day.
After some time, about 1 month, your speaker will be ready.
