? Introduction
? "Music free teaching method" is a music teaching idea summarized by teacher Zhao Hongxiao, in which responsibility is the "backbone", the material is the "flesh and blood", and love It is the "soul", which mainly includes nine views, such as listening to the sounds of all things, everything in the world is a musical instrument, the simplest is the best, teaching you to love, teaching you to be good at, and teaching students to like. It is the teaching practice of Teacher Zhao for many years. and the results of reflection. (Interested friends can search "Hong Xiao Music Workstation" on WeChat to learn more.)
Background
I met Teacher Zhao Hongxiao when I was studying at East China Normal University. Modest, low-key and interesting, but I didn't have the opportunity to get to know him further. After graduation, by chance, I participated in the Hong Xiao music teaching activity hosted by Teacher Zhao for two consecutive periods in July 2018 and July 2019 (this activity is held once a year, and the teacher has insisted on carrying it out 15 times at his own expense). This made me I have the opportunity to further experience Teacher Zhao’s unique personality charm and the light of “musical free teaching method”.
Source of the problem
? What I saw, heard and experienced during my two teaching assignments made me think to varying degrees about the music teaching I am currently engaged in and how to improve my music classes. During this period, the free music teaching method shared by the teacher inspired me a lot. Teacher Zhao is very good at digging out small objects around him to make musical instruments. Music comes from nature. This is what Teacher Zhao often says and he personally proves it to us. Every time the teacher shows us his new attempt, it always makes us happy. As teachers, we were dumbfounded and applauded. It turns out that music can still be played like this.
? So I think that if I can also introduce homemade musical instruments into the classroom, it will definitely inspire students' enthusiasm for music learning, and I will no longer have to worry about senior students not being interested in music classes. . But, how do you integrate homemade musical instruments with your own music teaching? How do you move forward after introducing a homemade instrument? What is the purpose of introducing homemade instruments for teaching? ...I'm in trouble.
? Turn? Turn
? While working from home, I read a sentence from a theoretical book related to music teaching---"Interest is the fundamental driving force for music learning. and the necessary prerequisite for a lifelong love of music." Just a few words made me enlightened.
? In fact, whether it is introducing self-made musical instruments to teach or conducting a short seven-day teaching period, as music teachers, it is indeed difficult for us to teach students in just 40 minutes or a few days of teaching time. Such superb musical skills have enabled them to soar qualitatively. However, no one dares to deny that maybe in just a few minutes, a "seed" will quietly take root and sprout in the hearts of students. It will give students the inner motivation to continue to explore the world of music and take the initiative to learn music. This magical "seed" is "interest", a heartfelt interest in music.
Conclusion?
Don’t be afraid to introduce new things into the classroom and worry that you can’t control them. Stop being “stingy” in sharing with students the new touches and new things that music brings to us. Realization and new strength. As music teachers, we should believe that as long as we start from the perspective of cultivating students' interest in music, we will not go astray. Even if the detour is a bit far, we will eventually return to the main road of music itself. Come.
Because interest is the fundamental motivation for music learning and the necessary prerequisite for students to love music throughout their lives.
