Tang Qi graduated from the Music Department of Hangzhou Normal University and is currently a music teacher at Xiaoshan Middle School in Zhejiang Province. When enjoying Tang Qi's singing, the most impressive thing is her unique timbre. Some people say that her unique feature is her mid-range, which is both light and dark, similar to the feeling of some intermediate color in paintings, giving people a hazy impression and allowing people to enjoy the beauty from it.
Tang Qi’s voice is lyrical, sweet, wide-ranging and expressive. She is very dedicated every time she sings, using different singing methods for different songs, conveying emotions with her voice, and carrying her voice with her emotions, which produces a strong shock that makes people feel emotional and moved. No matter what theme she sings, she can better grasp the style and charm of the work, and perform each song vividly and touchingly. Especially when singing a large number of composed songs, she showed superb control ability, so many composers asked her to try out new works and promote them to the society as Tang Qi's first song.
As the golden voice of Xiaoshan, Tang Qi is a frequent guest at major literary and artistic activities and evening parties in Xiaoshan. She used her strength to ascend to the throne of Xiaoshan's "first voice" and became a well-known local star. In addition to Xiaoshan TV Spring Festival Gala, Tide Watching Festival and other large-scale charity performances, she also participated in the closing ceremony performance of CUBA (National College Basketball League), served as the lead singer of the 11th Zhejiang Province Sports Games anthem, and represented the CUBA twice. Xiao Shan visited Yamanashi, Japan. Tengger, Ke Yimin, Zhang Haozhe, Lin Yilun, Chen Mingzhen, Gao Mingjun and many other stars have performed on the same stage with her. In 1998, Song Zuying came to Xiaoshan to perform. "Qinghai-Tibet Plateau" sung by Tang Qi was recognized by Song Zuying who came on stage at the finale.
She participated in behind-the-scenes work and guidance, and participated in Xiaoshan TV's "Sing My Hometown" program. She also served as the vocal coach and on-site judge of the "Shine My Stage" singing program.
