The Foolish Old Man Moved the Mountain

The Foolish Old Man of Beishan was ninety years old and lived facing the mountain. Punishing the fortress in the north of the mountain is a roundabout way to get in and out. They gathered in the room to plan and said: "I and you will try to level the danger and point out the route to the south of Henan and reach the Yin of Han Dynasty. Is that okay?" Zaran promised his wife to express her doubts and said: "With the power of the king, I have never been able to damage the hill of Kuifu." How can we place earth and rocks in Taihang and Wang's houses? "Za said: "Throw them to the end of the Bohai Sea, to the north of the hermits." Then he led his descendants to carry three men, knocking stones to cultivate the soil, and transporting dustpans to the end of the Bohai Sea. . The widow of a neighbor from the Jingcheng clan had a surviving son, so she started fighting and jumped to her aid. Winter and summer are easy to change, and the beginning is back again.

There was a Yugong in Beishan who was nearly ninety years old and lived directly opposite two mountains. Yu Gong suffered from the blocked road in the north of the mountain, so he had to take a long way out and in. The whole family was called together to discuss and said: "You and I will try our best to dig down the two mountains so that we can reach the south of Yuzhou and the south bank of Han River, okay?" Everyone agreed. His wife asked: "With your power, you cannot cut down hills like Kuifu. What can you do to Taihang and Wangwu? Besides, where can you put the earth and rocks?" Everyone said: "Throw the earth and rocks to On the edge of the Bohai Sea, to the north of Hidden Earth." Yu Gong then led three of his descendants who could carry the load to chisel stones, dig soil, and transport it to the edge of the Bohai Sea. The neighbor's widow named Jingcheng had an orphan who was just seven or eight years old and jumped to help them. When winter and summer change seasons, we only go back and forth once.

The wise old man at the bend of the river stopped with a smile and said: "It's so bad, you are so unfavorable. With the remaining strength of my remaining years, I have never been able to destroy a hair of the mountain. How can it be like earth and rocks?" The Foolish Old Man of Beishan took a long breath and said : "Your heart is so strong that it cannot be penetrated. You are no better than a widowed wife and a weak son. Even after my death, there are still sons and daughters. Sons beget grandchildren, and grandsons beget sons. Sons have sons, and sons have grandsons. Sons have descendants. The sun is infinite, but the mountains are not increasing, so why bother to make peace? "The wise old man died in the bend of the river.

Hequ Zhisou stopped Yu Gong with a smile and said: "You are too unsmart. With the remaining strength of your remaining years, you cannot destroy a blade of grass on the mountain, and how can you destroy the soil and stones?" How?" The Foolish Old Man of Beishan sighed and said, "You are so stubborn that you are not as good as a widow and a weak child. Even if I die, I will still have a son; a son will give birth to a grandson, and a grandson will give birth to a son. Sons have sons, and sons have grandsons; there is no end to the number of descendants, but the mountain will not grow taller or bigger, so why worry about digging to level it?" Hequ Zhisou had no words to answer.

When the God of Snakes heard about it, he was extremely afraid of it and told the emperor. The emperor felt his sincerity and ordered the two sons of the Kua'e family to carry two mountains, one to the east of Shuo and the other to the south of Yong. From then on, there was no long way to the south of Ji and the Yin of Han.

The mountain god holding the snake heard about it and was afraid that he would keep digging, so he reported the matter to the Emperor of Heaven. The Emperor of Heaven was moved by his sincerity and ordered Kua'e's two sons to carry two mountains on their backs, one in the east of Shuofang and the other in the south of Yongzhou. From then on, there were no mountains blocking the south of Jizhou and the Han River.

The Story of the Peach Blossom Spring

Tao Yuanming

In Taiyuan of Jin Dynasty, the people of Wuling made fishing their main occupation and walked along streams, forgetting the distance of the road. Suddenly I came across a peach blossom forest, hundreds of steps across the bank. There were no trees in the middle, the grass was delicious and the fallen flowers were colorful. Fishermen are very different. Going forward again, I want to exhaust the forest.

When the forest runs out of water, there is a mountain. There is a small mouth in the mountain, which looks like a square, like a Buddha, but there is light. Then he left the boat and entered through the mouth. The primary level is narrow, and it is accessible to people. After walking dozens of steps, it suddenly becomes clear. The land is flat, the houses are scattered, and there are fertile fields, beautiful ponds, mulberry trees and bamboos. There is traffic on the streets, chickens and dogs hear each other, and there are crops and crops, and the men and women are dressed like outsiders. Yellow hair in a bun. And enjoy themselves.

When he saw the fisherman, he was shocked. He asked where he had come from, and he gave him an answer. Then he returned home, where he set up wine and killed chickens for food. Hearing about this person in the village, Xian came to inquire. Since Yun was born to avoid the chaos of the Qin Dynasty, he came to this desperate situation with his wife and daughters. He never came back and was separated from outsiders. When I ask about this era, I don’t know whether there was Han, Wei or Jin. What this person said one by one is all Han regret. The rest of the people returned to their homes, where they all had wine and food. Stop for a few days and resign. The saying goes: "It's not enough to teach outsiders."

After getting out and getting the boat, he helped him to the road. When reaching the county, the prefect said so. The prefect immediately sent people to follow him in search of his desired direction, but he became lost and could no longer find his way. Prince Ji of Nanyang, a noble scholar, heard about it and went there happily, but failed and ended up seeking illness. After that, no one cared.

During the Taiyuan period of the Jin Dynasty, there was a man in Wuling who made a living by fishing. Once, he was fishing along a stream. He didn’t know how far he had gone when he suddenly came across a peach blossom forest. The forest is a hundred paces away from both sides of the bank. There are no other trees in the middle. The herbs are fresh and beautiful, and the peach blossoms falling on the ground are colorful. The fisherman was very surprised by this. He walked forward and wanted to walk through the peach blossom forest to see what happened.

At the end of the peach blossom forest is the birthplace of the stream, and there is a mountain there. There was a small hole in the mountain, and there seemed to be light inside the hole. The fisherman left the boat and walked into the hole. It was very narrow at first, with only room for one person to pass through. Take a few steps forward and it becomes open and wide. The land inside is flat and vast, with neatly arranged houses, fertile fields, beautiful ponds, mulberry trees, and bamboo forests. The paths in the fields extend in all directions, and you can hear the sounds of cocks crowing and dogs barking. People come and go plowing the fields, wearing the same clothes as people outside. Both the elderly and children are comfortable and happy.

The villagers were surprised when they saw the fisherman and asked him where he came from. The fisherman answered them all, and the villagers invited the fisherman to go home with them, prepared wine and killed chickens for the fisherman to eat. When the people in the village heard that a fisherman had arrived, they all came to inquire about the news. They themselves said that in order to escape the troubled times of the Qin Dynasty, their ancestors led their wives, children and fellow villagers to this isolated place and never went out again, thus cutting off contact with outsiders. They asked what dynasty they were in now, but they didn't even know there was the Han Dynasty, let alone the Wei and Jin Dynasties. The fisherman told them what he knew in detail, and the villagers were amazed after hearing it. The rest of the people also invited the fisherman to their homes and entertained him with fine wine. After staying for a few days, the fisherman said goodbye and went back. The people in the village said: "Don't tell outsiders about the situation here."

After the fisherman came out, he found his boat and went back along the same path, marking everywhere along the way. When he arrived at Wuling County, he came to the prefect to report the situation. The prefect immediately sent someone to follow him to look for the mark he had made before, but he lost his way and could no longer find the way out. Nanyang Liu Ziji was a noble man. When he heard about this, he happily went to look for it, but he couldn't find it. Soon he died of illness. From then on, there was no one left to look for.

Humble House Inscription

If the mountain is not high, it will be famous if there are immortals. If the water is not deep, if there is a dragon, it will be spiritual. This is a humble house, but I am virtuous. The moss marks are green on the upper steps, and the grass color is green on the curtains. There are scholars who talk and laugh, but there are no idle people when coming and going. You can tune the plain Qin and read the Golden Sutra. There are no messy ears of silk and bamboo, and there is no laborious shape of case documents. Zhugelu in Nanyang, Yunting in Western Shuzi. Confucius said: "What's so shameful?"

The mountain does not have to be high, as long as there are immortals, it will be famous. The water doesn’t have to be deep, as long as there is a dragon, it will be magical. Although this is a simple house, it doesn't feel simple anymore because of my good moral character. The green moss grows up to the steps, and the green grass is reflected in the curtains. Those who talk and laugh with me are learned people, and there is no one who is ignorant of learning among me. You can play the simple guqin and read precious Buddhist scriptures. There is no loud music to disturb the ears, and no official documents to tire the body and mind. It is like the thatched cottage of Zhuge Liang in Nanyang and the Xuanting of Yangziyun in Xishu. Confucius said: "What's so simple?

Horses

There are Bole horses in the world, and then there are thousand-mile horses. Thousand-mile horses always exist, but Bole horses don't always exist. Therefore, although there are famous horses, they are only famous horses. Being humiliated by slaves and dying in a stall is not called a thousand-mile horse.

After Bole came into the world, there was always a thousand-mile horse, but there was not always a thousand-mile horse. Even if there is a famous horse, it will only be humiliated in the hands of the servant groom and die in the stable with the ordinary horses. It will not be famous because it travels a thousand miles a day.

A horse that travels a thousand miles in a day eats only one meal. Or if you eat a horse with grains and a stone, you don't know that it can run a thousand miles. This is a horse. Although it can run a thousand miles, it is not full of food, lacks strength, and its beauty is not visible, and if you want to be like an ordinary horse, you can't get it. A horse that can travel a thousand miles a day can only eat one stone of food. The person who feeds the horse does not know that it can travel a thousand miles a day without feeding it. It has the ability to travel a thousand miles, but if it doesn't have enough food and strength, its talents and advantages cannot be expressed externally. How can you expect it to be able to travel a thousand miles a day?

The horse cannot be driven in the right way, the food cannot be used to its full potential, the horse cannot make sense of its cry, and when one approaches it with the horse in hand, it says: "There is no horse in the world!" "Ugh, is there really no horse evil? It's true that I don't know horses.

If you don’t control it according to the method and feed it, it will not be able to give full play to its talents. A thousand-mile horse neighs, but you can’t understand its meaning. You just stand in front of it, holding the whip, and say: "There is no thousand-mile horse in the world." ! "Alas, is there really no thousand-mile horse? I’m afraid I really don’t know Chollima!

Love Lotus

The flowers of water, land and vegetation are very lovely. Tao Yuanming of Jin Dynasty only loved chrysanthemums. Since Li Tang, people have loved peonies very much. I only love the lotus that emerges from the mud but is not stained; it is clear in the ripples without being demonic; it is straight in the middle and straight in the outside; it does not creep or branch; its fragrance becomes clearer from a distance; its pavilion is clean and planted; it can be viewed from a distance but not played with.

There are many lovely grasses, trees and flowers on the water and on land. Tao Yuanming of the Jin Dynasty only loved chrysanthemums. Since the Tang Dynasty, people around the world have loved peonies very much. I only love the lotus. It grows out of the mud but is not polluted. It has been washed in clear water but does not look charming. Its stems are straight in the middle and straight in appearance. They are not involved or branchy. The fragrance spreads far away, and becomes even more fragrant. It stands there straight and clean. You can watch it from a distance, but you can't get close and play with it lightly.

I say chrysanthemum, the hermit flower; peony, the precious flower; lotus, the gentleman flower. Alas! The love of chrysanthemum is rarely heard of after Tao. Who can share the love of the lotus? The love of peony is suitable for everyone.

I believe that the chrysanthemum is the hermit among flowers; the peony is the precious one among flowers; and the lotus is the gentleman among flowers. well! Tao Yuanming rarely heard of his hobby of chrysanthemums. Who else is interested in lotuses like me? Of course, there are many people who are interested in peonies.

Night Tour of Chengtian Temple

October 12, the sixth year of Yuanfeng, at night. When I undressed and wanted to sleep, the moonlight came in from the window, and I got up and walked happily. It occurred to me that I had no one with whom to play, so I went to Chengtian Temple to look for Zhang Huaimin. Zhang Huaimin didn't sleep either. We took a walk in the courtyard.

On the night of October 12th, the sixth year of Yuanfeng, I took off my clothes and was about to fall asleep. When the moonlight came into my house, I happily set off. Thinking of the joy of not being together, I went to Chengtian Temple to look for Zhang Huaimin. Huaimin was not sleeping, so he walked with him in the middle courtyard.

The sky under the courtyard looks like accumulated water, with algae and lilies intertwined in the water, covered with bamboo and cypress shadows.

The moonlight in the courtyard was as clear and transparent as a pool of water, with algae and waterlilies crisscrossing it, just the shadows of bamboos and cypresses.

There is no moon on any night, no pine or cypress anywhere, but there are few idle people like the two of us.

There is no moonlight on any night, and there are no green bamboos and cypresses anywhere, but there are few idlers like the two of me.

Three Gorges

In the seven hundred miles from the Three Gorges, there are mountains on both sides, with no gaps. The mountains are stacked with layers of rocks, hiding the sky and blocking out the sun. At midnight in Feiting, there is no bright moon. As for Xiashui Xiangling, it is blocked along the way. Or if the king's order is urgently announced, sometimes he will send the White Emperor in the morning and arrive at Jiangling in the evening. During the journey of 1,200 miles, even if he rides on the wind and rides on the wind, he will not be sick. In spring and winter, the green pool is green and the reflection is clear. There are countless grotesque cypress trees in the mountains, with suspended springs and waterfalls in the mountains. It's clear, majestic, majestic and full of interest. Every sunny and frosty day, in the cold woods and austere streams, a tall ape often cries out, which is very bleak and bleak. Therefore, a fisherman sang: "The Badong Three Gorges and the Wu Gorge are long, and the apes cry three times and shed tears on their clothes."

In the seven hundred miles of the Three Gorges, the mountains on both sides are connected with the mountains, with almost no gaps. The layers of cliff, the layers of rock, obscured the sky and the sunlight. If it is not noon and midnight, the sun and moon cannot be seen. In summer, the water covers the hills on both sides of the river, and the upstream and downstream waterways are blocked. Sometimes the emperor's orders had to be conveyed quickly. He would leave Baidi City in the morning and arrive at Jiangling in the evening. There were one thousand two hundred miles apart, and even if he was riding a galloping horse or flying in the wind, it wouldn't be so fast. In spring and winter, the white rapids swirl with clear waves; the deep green pool reflects the mountains on both sides. In the high mountains, there grows many odd-shaped cypress trees, in the mountains, often suspended springs and waterfalls whipping. Clear water, lush trees, precipitous mountains, and lush green grass, which is really interesting. Every time it clears up after a rain or in the early morning on a frosty day, the woods and mountains are deserted and desolate, and apes often chirp loudly from high places. The sound is continuous and extremely shrill. It echoed in the empty valley and took a long time to disappear. So the fishermen sang: "The Badong Three Gorges and the Wu Gorge are long, and the ape's three cries make the clothes wet with tears."
