How to cultivate children’s musical literacy

1. When the baby is in the womb, you should listen to more soothing and pleasant prenatal education music; after the baby is born, you should develop a good habit of exposing your baby to music at any time and play some for him casually. World-famous songs, except for sleeping, no matter what the child is doing, they can inadvertently capture beautiful music. These melodies will be subtly internalized into the child's nutrition. You must believe in the power of classics.

2. Enjoy music with your children. Children have a natural yearning for beautiful music. Parents can usually play games with them while singing. Babies before the age of five are not afraid of repeating the same children's songs. We can sing it over and over again.

3. Choose an instrument. I conducted some surveys in schools and found that children who have practiced musical instruments have good coordination, determination, high musical quality, and often do well in their studies. Children can play musical instruments when they are four or five years old. Practicing an instrument is a project that extremely tests parents’ persistence. The following points should be noted:

1. When choosing an instrument, try to obtain your child’s approval. We parents often consider issues such as price, time, and whether it is popular. Ignoring the child's own characteristics, the child's strong interest in playing is an inevitable prerequisite for long-term persistence.

2. In the learning process, emphasis should be placed on companionship rather than coercion, aesthetics over technology, and process over results.
