Introduction to Jia Pengfang

Jia Pengfang was born in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province in April 1958. Erhu player, member of Chinese Musicians Association, Japan Oriental Music Society. In 1978, he joined the China National Traditional Orchestra. In 1979, he began to serve as the erhu soloist of the troupe, and in 1984, he began to serve as the deputy principal of the troupe's national orchestra. Since 1980, he has recorded many Erhu solos for Beijing People's Broadcasting Station, Central People's Broadcasting Station, China Radio International, etc. Influenced by his brother since childhood, he started learning Erhu at the age of 8. He has recorded many Erhu solos for Beijing People's Broadcasting Station, Central People's Broadcasting Station, China Radio International, etc. In order to pursue higher artistic attainments, he studied in Japan in 1988. He studied at Tokyo University of the Arts, the highest institution of art in Japan, and received a master's degree. After traveling to Japan, I was fortunate to meet Mr. Katsuhisa Hattori, a famous Japanese composer and president of the Japan Composers and Arrangers Association, and was appointed as a permanent soloist in his concerts, traveling to music stages in Japan and around the world. In 1997, he performed with the New York Modern Orchestra at Carnegie Hall in New York, which established his unshakable status as a world-class performer.
