Chang Shilei, born on July 21, 1981 in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, is a male singer and music producer from Mainland China. He graduated from the Music Engineering Department of Shanghai Conservatory of Music. In 2008, Chang Shilei became a core member of the music team for the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games. He impressed the chief director Zhang Yimou with a demo song, thus pushing "You and Me" to the Olympic stage. After the Olympics, he came from behind the scenes to the stage. In 2009, the red classic cover album "Niu China" was released. On July 21, 2010, he released his original album "Myself".
Early life experience
Chang Shilei was born in a military family. His father had a wide range of literary and artistic interests, which influenced him. He began to learn the electronic keyboard at the age of five, switched to piano at the age of nine and won many awards. In 1993, Chang Shilei studied at Huayang Primary School in Guangzhou and went to the High School Affiliated to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, which was the only junior high school in the country to offer a composition major. He began his more than ten years of music education in Shanghai. In 1999, Chang Shilei was admitted to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music majoring in electronic composition and graduated from the Music Engineering Department of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
