Introduction to Liao Changyong’s early experience:

Liao Changyong was born in an ordinary peasant family in Pidu District, Chengdu, Sichuan. His father died of illness when he was seven years old. When he was in middle school, Liao Changyong's third sister married to Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in western Sichuan, and Liao Changyong followed her to study there. In September 1988, he was admitted to the Vocal Music Department of Shanghai Conservatory of Music to study with Mr. Wang, and later studied under the famous vocal music educator Professor.

Graduated from Shanghai Conservatory of Music in July 1993 with a bachelor's degree. Due to his excellent performance, he was directly admitted to the master's degree program of Professor Zhou Xiaoyan of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music without taking the examination. In 1994, he won the first place in the national selection of the "International Vocal Competition"; in the same year, he won the Best French Award at the "Paris International Vocal Competition" in France.

In September 1996, he went to France to participate in the "41st Toulouse International Vocal Competition" and won the first prize in the competition. In May 1997, he went to Tokyo to participate in the "Domingo World Opera Singing Competition" and won the first prize; in the same year, he went to Norway to participate in the Queen Sonja International Vocal Competition and won the first prize.
