Baoji has a long history and is the seat of the Baoji School of Baoji. It has a history of more than 2,770 years. The following is what I have compiled for you. Everyone is welcome to read.

Mrs.

People in Xifu speak straightforwardly and do not tolerate pretentious or fake words. For example, Baoji people don't like to use the word "wife", and it sounds a bit uncomfortable when called. In the mouths of Baoji people, other people's wives are usually called "that daughter-in-law", "whose mother-in-law", etc., and the husband is called "Mrs." My own wife usually calls her "baby's mother" or "hey" implicitly, or even calls her nothing at all, relying on tacit understanding. As everyone knows, the word "wife" that Baoji people dispute is actually a word originating from the Baoji area.

"Mrs." originally referred to the "three mothers" of the Zhou Dynasty, namely Taijiang, the wife of King Tai of Zhou, Tairen, the mother of King Wen of Zhou, and Taisi, the mother of King Wu of Zhou. These three women who married into the Zhou royal family were virtuous and intelligent, and were particularly good at caring for their husbands and raising children. They cultivated three generations of sages in the Zhou Dynasty. Later generations hoped that the women would have the temperament and conduct of the "three queens" and raise excellent offspring, so they were Women are respectfully called "Mrs."

As the saying goes, behind every successful man, there is a great woman, and Gu Gong Danfu had such a woman. "The Book of Songs·Mian" tells the story of Taijiang accompanying her husband Gu Gongdanfu to start a business in Qiyang: "Gugong Danfu came to court and led the Western Water Margin to Qixia. He fell in love with Jiang Nu and came to Xuyu. "Taijiang's virtues are described in detail in the Han Dynasty's "Biography of Women": "Taijiang was the mother of Wang Ji... She gave birth to Taibo, Zhongyong and Wang Ji. "I will praise Taijiang for her three virtues. First, she is gentle, quiet, respectful of her husband, and lady-like. Moreover, Taijiang is smart and wise. Every time the ancient father-in-law and father-in-law met, they would discuss it with Taijiang. Taijiang could always put forward good suggestions and methods; moreover, Taijiang was good at teaching his three sons. The eldest son Taibo and the second son Zhongyong gave up the throne to the third son Ji Li. Soil made Zhou rise rapidly.

The most famous story of Tai Ren is undoubtedly the invention of prenatal education. Recently, the first public welfare class of Baoji City Women's Moral Education School discussed Tairen's prenatal education method. The speaker, Ms. Ding Xuan, is the vice president of the Henan Traditional Culture Research Association. She said that Tairen's prenatal education method is not to let the fetus listen. The sound of reading and music affects the fetus in the belly through the mother's words and deeds. After becoming pregnant, Tai Ren "cannot see evil colors with his eyes, hear obscene sounds with his ears, cannot speak arrogant words with his mouth, and can teach his children from the womb". Ding Xuan analyzed that Tai Ren's strict self-discipline and example of prenatal education allowed the baby to grow up in a pure and kind atmosphere. The baby formed an excellent innate foundation in her belly and eventually grew into a virtuous and wise king.

The story of King Wen of Zhou Dynasty Jichang marrying his concubine, "The Book of Songs Daya Ming Dynasty" writes it beautifully, "A great country has a son, the sister of Tiantian. Wen Dingjue is auspicious, and he personally welcomes Wei "Tai Si was kind and virtuous, and she lived frugally in her natal family and treated her female teacher with respect. Ji Chang admired Tai Si's virtues and went to Weishui to marry her. There was no one in Weishui. Ji Chang ordered people to connect the boats into a pontoon bridge and connect Taisi to the other side. After getting married, Taisi was still diligent and frugal, and abided by the etiquette of being a daughter-in-law. Taisi admired the virtues of her grandmother Taijiang and her mother-in-law Tairen, so she often learned from her elders. Under her care, King Wu of Zhou Jifa grew up to be a courageous and courageous man. A wise king with both moral character and morality, he finally completed the task of defeating Zhou and destroying Shang.

These three women are the ancestors and grandchildren of three generations. They are like passing the baton, cultivating the children of the Zhou Dynasty into sages. No wonder the author of "The Biography of Lienu" praised the "Three Tai Tais" and said: "The three mothers of the Zhou Dynasty, Tai Jiang and Ren Si, are the beginning of the prosperity of civil and military affairs." He believes that the prosperity of civil and military affairs in the Zhou Dynasty is inseparable from the influence of these three women. pay. In the Han Dynasty, "maimai" was a title for aristocratic women. During the Republic of China, the title "maitai" became common to ordinary women. This title was the highest praise for a married woman's cultivation and wisdom.

It is worth mentioning that the "third wife" of the Zhou Dynasty handled the relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law very well. The mother-in-law loved her daughter-in-law, the daughter-in-law respected her mother-in-law, and the family was harmonious and warm. This is really worth learning from today's people. Everything thrives in a harmonious family. Only a warm and harmonious family can bring motivation and happiness to family members. Of course, the times are progressing, and while we are learning the excellent virtues of ancient women, we do not have to accept them all. We can abandon the ideas that undermine women's individual freedom and dignity.

How can you catch tiger cubs without entering the tiger's den

Fufeng has many talents since ancient times, and it is not uncommon for a family to be full of talents, such as Ban Chao's family.

Ban Chao, courtesy name Zhongsheng, was born in Pingling County, Fufeng County. His father was the historian Ban Biao, his eldest brother was the historian Ban Gu, and his sister was the historian Ban Zhao. Growing up in a family with such a strong cultural atmosphere, Ban Supernatural was no ordinary person. He was a famous military strategist and diplomat during the Eastern Han Dynasty.

When he was young, Ban Chao had a job that he thought was worthless: working with words, copying official documents all day long. One day, Ban Chaoyue became more and more angry. A man, like Fu Jiezi and Zhang Qian, should have done meritorious service in the border areas and strived for the title of a prince. What could he do if he had to work with these papers, inks, pens and inkstones all his life? Throw away the pen and lose the paper. Knead, stop drying. Such an impulsive decision left an idiom for future generations - abandon writing and join the army.

In ancient times, the status of military attachés was slightly inferior to that of civilian officials, that is, civil service was used to control military force.

However, there are exceptions to everything. For example, some generals who lead troops abroad first passed the Jinshi examination and became civil servants, and later became generals in charge of the army. These people are well-read in poetry and can kill and fight, so they are not easy to mess with. "Following Dou Gu to attack the Northern Huns, he was also ordered to go to the Western Regions. In thirty-one years, he pacified more than 50 countries in the Western Regions and made great contributions to the return of the Western Regions and the promotion of national integration." From this historical comment , we can see the strength of Ban Chao.

In fact, Ban Chao is well known to us because of another saying: If you don't enter the tiger's den, you won't get the tiger cubs. At this time, classical Chinese showed a charm different from that of vernacular Chinese. "Book of the Later Han Dynasty" records: "When Chao arrived at Shanshan, King Guangfeng of Shanshan was very polite and respectful to Chao, but later he suddenly became more careless... He summoned Hu Jie and said: 'The Huns' envoys have been here for a few days, what do you care about now?' Chao, who served Hu in fear, was in a state of submission. He gathered thirty-six of his officials and drank with him, and because of his anger, he said, "Your Majesty and I are both in a remote area, and we want to be together." I have done great work in order to gain wealth and honor. Now that the captives have been sent to prison for a few days, Wang Guang will be dismissed. If Shanshan is ordered to take my subordinates and send them to the Xiongnu, the bones will grow to be eaten by jackals. What can I do?" All the officials said: "Now I am here. In a dangerous place, life and death depend on Sima. Chao said: "If you don't enter the tiger's den, you won't catch the tiger's cubs. The only way to attack the captives at night is to attack them with fire. They don't know how much I am, and they will be shocked and killed." If you destroy this prisoner, your good deeds will be broken, and your achievements will be accomplished. The crowd said: "We should discuss this with the officials." Chao Nu said: "The good or bad will depend on today. If you hear this, you will be afraid and want to vent." Death has no name, and he is not a strong man! 'Everyone said: 'Good'"

The story goes like this. In the 16th year of Yongping in the Eastern Han Dynasty, Ban Chao went to the Western Regions as an envoy and came to Shanshan Kingdom. , after sending the gifts, King Shanshan expressed his willingness to leave the Xiongnu and join the Han Dynasty. Both the host and the guest were very happy. As a result, the next day, Ban Chao discovered that King Shanshan's attitude towards them had changed drastically. After careful investigation, he found out that the Huns also sent envoys to Shanshan and reached cooperation with King Shanshan. intention. Good guy, this is dangerous. If King Shanshan wants to express his sincerity to the Huns, he will probably chop up Ban Chao and his gang and offer them to the Huns envoys. If you don't do one thing and two things don't stop, you can only act first to gain the upper hand. A plan to attack the Huns with fire was formed in Ban Chao's mind.

As everyone knows, Ban Chao led thirty-six of his subordinates, selected the Hun envoy’s camp, burned the Hun envoy’s tent, chopped off the Hun envoy’s head, and took the Hun envoy’s head to King Shanshan asked him why he had betrayed his trust.

Imagining the scene at that time, King Shanshan probably felt chills on his back when he looked at Ban Chao at that time. After that, King Shanshan expressed his wholehearted submission to the Han Dynasty. "If you don't enter the tiger's den, you won't get the tiger's cubs" has been passed down to this day and has become a classic summary of "without going through the most arduous practice, you cannot achieve the greatest achievements".

A show of authority

"His eldest uncle and his second uncle are all his uncles. The high tables and low benches are all made of wood. Gold and silver are not enough. "The sky is above and the earth is below." As described in this ballad, "Old Shaanxi" has a bold personality and an unyielding spirit in his bones. Because of this character trait, when Mr. Bamber, the "Old Shaanxi", met others for the first time two thousand years ago, he successfully solved the problems that others had given him. His move also gave rise to a word - showing off his power, today Let’s talk about this “disgrace”.

Literally speaking, "to show off one's power" is closely related to chariots and horses. Yes, the ancients often used dismounting and dismounting to express the arrival of officials. This word comes from "Han Shu·Xu Zhuan": "Afraid of his getting off the car and showing his power, the officials and the people will stop." At this point, it's time to invite the hero of our story, Ban Bo. Banbo, a native of Fufeng in the Eastern Han Dynasty, was of a distinguished family background. His father, Ban Kuang, was a high-ranking military general in the Han Dynasty who was worshiped as Zuo Caoyue's cavalry captain. As for his two brothers, one is a lieutenant general and the other is a prefect of Guangping. His only younger sister is the famous Western Han Dynasty female writer Ban Jieyu.

According to historical records, Bamber died at the age of 37. Although he died young, he left many stories to future generations. Looking through historical materials, it is not difficult to find that Bamber was not only good-looking, but also a brave and intelligent man. "Han Shu·Xu Zhuan" tells this story: When Banbo was young, he followed the prince's consort Shi Dan to study the "Book of Songs". Because of his intelligence and studiousness, the general Wang Feng thought highly of him and recommended him to the emperor. Emperor Cheng of the Han Dynasty summoned Banbo to the Banquet Hall. Seeing that he had "a very beautiful appearance and a good recitation of Dharma", Banbo was appointed as a regular attendant. At that time, Emperor Cheng of the Han Dynasty liked to study knowledge. He ordered two wise men, Zheng Kuanzhong and Zhang Yu, to come to the court to lecture on "The Analects of Confucius" and "Shangshu", and ordered Banbo to attend them. Unexpectedly, Banbo could not only answer questions fluently, but also speak eloquently. Emperor Cheng of the Han Dynasty ordered him to be named Captain Fengche.

In the third year of the Heping reign of Emperor Cheng of the Han Dynasty, the Xiongnu Chanyu came to court. Emperor Cheng of the Han Dynasty sent Banbo to meet him at the foot of the fortress. At that time, two surnames named Beishi and Li in Dingxiang County, present-day Helinger, Inner Mongolia, killed people due to personal grudges. Officials hunted down the murderers, but they were killed. Banbo reported the situation to the court, and the emperor took charge of Dingxiang. Emperor Cheng of the Han Dynasty sent Wang Shun, the general of the royal family, to replace Banbo to escort Shanyu, and ordered Banbo to be the prefect of Dingxiang County.

The people in Dingxiang are strong and strong. After this news reached the county, people heard that Banbo came from a famous family and took charge of the place by himself at a young age. "Xi" means that they were worried that Bamber would show off to his subordinates and the public when he first took office, so they restrained themselves.

After Banbo took office, he immediately selected elite people among his officials and arrested a large number of criminals. His vigorous and vigorous work style shocked a group of lawless people and impressed the people of Dingxiang County.

Speaking of which, "Old Shaanxi" Bamber's courage and talent are quite impressive. The "getting off the horse to show off" mentioned in the article was replaced by the later "getting off the horse to show off". It seems that "showing authority" originally did not mean to present difficult problems to people at the first meeting, but refers to the strict requirements of subordinates to handle difficult matters when officials first took office in order to establish authority. Later, with the change of words, "showing one's power to the opponent from the beginning" became a general meaning of "showing one's power to the other party from the beginning". In addition, "Xia Ma Wei" is easy to pronounce and the meaning is simple and clear, so it spread.
