In December 2010, Dazhou Municipal Television and Dazhou Municipal People’s Broadcasting Station merged to form Dazhou Municipal Radio and Television Station. It operates a news comprehensive channel, a public *** channel, a city public channel, a Tongchuan channel, and a Dazhou comprehensive Radio and traffic music broadcast. The program uses simultaneous wireless and wired transmission, and the signal covers seven counties and cities in Dazhou and parts of surrounding cities (Wanzhou, Bazhong, Guang'an, Nanchong), with a viewing population of more than 16 million. Dazhou Radio and Television Station has always adhered to the correct guidance of public opinion, strengthened program innovation, and highlighted local characteristics. At present, Dazhou Radio and Television has become a mainstream media in eastern Sichuan with stable ratings, listening groups and good image.
