Achievements

Hamlisch was a prolific composer who composed scores for more than 40 films and many Broadway plays during his lifetime. The films "Liar", "Days of Our Lives" and "Sophie's Choice", for which he participated in composing, were all highly praised. In 1975, he participated in the creation of the musical "On the Line", for which he won the Tony Award and the Pulitzer Prize.

Hamlisch won three Oscars, four Grammys, four Emmys, a Tony Award and a Pulitzer Prize in his lifetime. He is the only American One of the two artists to receive these five awards. In addition to music creation, he also serves as the leader and conductor of six famous orchestras including the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra in the United States.
