Han Li’s experience in the industry

Listen to the radio and become a host

Neither beautiful nor smart. Every time Han Li introduces himself on the show, he always adds: "The power of strength, the power of hard work."

Han Li claims to be a person who loves to listen to radio. He started out as a professional listener and listens to radio for a quarter of his time every day. My headphones broke numerous times, and I even wrote a letter to my favorite host. In 2001, I won third place in the Beijing Music Broadcasting Amateur Host Competition and started my career as a radio host.

Stand out in the host competition

Han Li studied law at China University of Political Science and Law, but has never held a law-related job. Han Li has loved listening to the radio since he was a child. He has always been a leader in the school's essay contest, speech contest, and story contest when he was in school. When he was in college, he was the host of the school radio station.

When he was in college, listening to the radio became an important part of Han Li’s extracurricular life. From the initial imitation, I heard that I hope to integrate into this circle one day and always pay attention to this industry. Opportunity finally came to her in 2001.

This year, Beijing Music Broadcasting held the "First Amateur Host Competition". Although friends around her encouraged her to give it a try, Han Li, who was afraid of failure, did not submit a demo tape until the last day of registration. Later she heard that there were many people signing up at that time.

During the preliminaries interview, the two questions Han Li drew were: Name the composer of "Carmen" and talk about his innovative ideas for "Popular 2001". Relying on his experience as a host at the school radio station and a die-hard listener of music broadcasts, Han Li performed well. But during the written test, she was confused by the obscure professional music knowledge. Fortunately, the open questions at the back allowed her to find some sense.

After a "long" wait, Han Li finally saw his name on the list of 16 finalists. In the finals, through competitions such as talent show, mock hosting, and opinion discussion, Han Li finally won third place and has since become a host of FM974, which she has longed for.

Enlightenment brought by the phone call

"This is "Color Ring Music", hello everyone, I am Han Li..." Every morning at 11 a.m., Han Li's live broadcast will be Begin after this opening sentence. Han Li also witnessed the development of this first domestic ringtone radio program from its inception to its popularity. Han Li still remembers the birth of this program vividly.

At the end of 2003, Beijing Music Radio was preparing to revamp its midday program. The initial program arrangement from 11 to 12 o'clock was a text message entertainment program that mainly involved listeners sending text messages to participate. Han Li said that at that time, CRBT had just emerged in China. She was the first person to use CRBT in music broadcasts and was also one of the first users of CRBT in China. Once, Wu Zhoutong called Han Li and heard the ring tones set on Han Li's mobile phone. He thought it was very novel. This also gave everyone an inspiration: whether it is possible to create a program based on "color tones".

But when I started making demos, I realized that making a ringtone program was not an easy task. Because there were very few ring tones products on the Internet at that time, the lack of materials made Han Li spend a lot of time. I just believe that this show will be popular and make people laugh. But when it comes to changing from a music program host to an entertainment program host, how to turn around, how to interact with the audience, and how to be activated by his partners... are all problems Han Li faces.

"Rain Ring" is a hit in Beijing

On January 1, 2004, "Rain Ring" was officially launched. After the show aired, Han Li received a text message from a friend: It's quite creative. This encouraged Han Li. A few weeks after the show launched, feedback from listeners began to pile up, and within a few months advertisers came to package the show. "Rain Ring Music" quickly became the most listened-to program at noon in the Beijing radio market. The popularity of "Rain Ring Music" has also cultivated the first generation of domestic ring tones production team. On September 1, 2005, "Color Ring Music" became a program broadcast by 16 radio stations across the country.

What makes Han Li even more delighted is that "Rain Ring Music" is a program with a very wide audience, ranging from gray-haired old people to children studying.

There is an old couple in Yanqing who are loyal listeners of "Color Ring Music". They listen to it every day, and the more they listen, the more interesting it becomes. There is also a die-hard fan of "Ring Ling Le Fan Tian" who has prepared a "Ring Ling Le Fan Tian" event notebook, which faithfully records the host's questions and original ring tones in each episode of the program.

But Han Li was not intoxicated by these, she was still confused. She said that no matter how good the program is, there will be listening fatigue. The ears of the audience are picky, and funny does not mean humor. There is still a lot to be done to maintain the upward trend of the program and prevent the audience from "slip away".

If you are in a bad mood, seek help from a group of relatives and friends

Han Li now hosts two live programs and records one program. He has to talk to the microphone for several hours every day, and he has to maintain a certain The feeling of jumping upward. Han Li said that she pays special attention to her physical condition. She said that she is an optimistic person and rarely seems to be depressed. Even if she does, she will not show it in the show. She doesn't like the host to create a sad atmosphere in the show and make the audience unhappy with herself. As a host, she is more willing to bring joy and joy to the listeners in front of the radio.

Han Li always carries a small radio in his bag. After working for a day, he still has to turn on the radio when he comes home, and he can even judge the time by watching the program. Han Li listens to programs mainly to understand what programs his peers are doing; to understand what kind of programs are easy to impress and attract ears as a listener. Han Li said that only through comparison can we make discoveries. She prefers to compare the host to a chef. How to cook dishes that suit everyone's tastes. Controlling the heat is very important.

I asked Han Li, how do you adjust your work status when you are in a bad mood? She said that for the host, every program cannot be hasty or easy. If she encounters something unhappy before going on the show, she will call a friend to talk about it. Han Li said that she is a person who needs encouragement at certain times, so she will send text messages to friends and call family members to ask them to encourage her. Maybe the text messages they sent at this time will make her feel particularly warm, and she will be happy after that.

Let your voice be filled with content

“Let your voice be filled with content”, this is the goal Han Li set for himself. The voice must not only be pleasant to the ear, but also have a unique weapon, have the foundation, and be able to use it. Han Li said that listeners always comment on her sweet voice, but she hopes to be a host who speaks kindly and wisely. She hopes to be a host with a high average score and not be overwhelmed by many voices.

After four years of hosting career, Han Li concluded that he has gained more than he lost, and his weight has dropped all the way. He has lost five pounds compared with when he was a listener. The live broadcast lasts for several hours every day, but it is even more difficult to let go of this love for radio. She is more willing to enjoy and discover in the process of hosting.

Han Li said: "I discovered that I can be intellectual in music programs, and I can also be humorous in ringtones, using the mezzo-soprano my parents gave me to convey the beauty and happiness in life. ." She joked that she is an energetic female host of "Ben San" who can already laugh freely on good days and can use humor and fun to solve problems when she encounters them.
