ROCKBOX
Rockbox is a powerful music player. It supports seamless playback between sound tracks. What's more, it also supports the playback of cue files. This means you can rip a CD into one large file while placing the track information in small cue files. As long as the cue and the large file have the same name and are in the same directory, when playing the music file, the system can display the information in the cue file, and can also provide track information for the large music file, and can forward and backward like a CD.
Main functions
rockbox supports both folder-based management and database-based management systems. Users can choose songs according to their own preferences. Rockbox also supports both iTunes-style transfer methods (limited to mp3 and acc formats supported by iTunes) and drag-and-drop transfer methods (all supported file formats). This greatly facilitates users, especially those like me who like the drag-and-drop transfer method.
Rockbox provides a variety of treble, bass, equalizer, and balance control methods. If the user likes, they can adjust a variety of different timbres and sound effects.
rockbox supports the replay gain function. The so-called replay gain means that when playing music from different sources, you can set their volume to be in a similar range. This avoids the phenomenon of different volume levels due to different sources of music files. The volume of music will no longer be loud or soft. Of course, you can also disable this feature if you don't like it. [2]
rockbox supports bookmark function, which is very useful for audiobooks.
rockbox supports parametric equalizer, allowing users to deeply customize their own EQ curve. This is not found in similar firmware.
