But a Zen master told him that his destiny is in his own hands. As long as he works hard, he can change his destiny. Even if there are no descendants, there will be descendants. So he and his wife encouraged each other to do good deeds and accumulate virtue, which finally changed his childless destiny. In the year of Xinsi, he gave birth to a son, named Tianqi. After his son was born, he wrote his views and understanding of fate into an article called "Xun Zi Wen". The purpose was to educate Yuan Tianqi to never forget to do good deeds and accumulate virtue, and to do his best to change his destiny.
Mrs. Yuan also contributed a lot to the education of Yuan Liaofan’s son. Mrs. Yuan is a virtuous and virtuous woman who often helps her husband do good deeds. Through the constant teachings of his parents, Yuan Liaofan's son was able to do good and stay away from evil, seek evil and avoid good luck, and change his destiny. In the end, Yuan Tianqi lived up to his parents' expectations. He later passed the Jinshi examination and became the county magistrate of Gaoyao County, Guangdong Province (under the jurisdiction of today's Zhaoqing City).
