Lusheng dance includes two types: Lusheng dance and Calabash dance. The former uses Lusheng as a dance instrument and musical instrument, while the latter uses Calabash as a dance instrument and musical instrument. The music is divided into two types: Lusheng dance and Calabash dance. Lusheng dance is the most famous of the Miao people in Guizhou, and has two styles: southeastern Guizhou and northwest Guizhou. Lusheng dance music of the Miao people in southeastern Guizhou generally involves groups of several people playing large, medium and small reeds while dancing, and the repertoire is all dance music. Commonly used repertoires include "Dance Music", "Stepping on the Lusheng", "Two-Step Dance", "Three-Step Dance", "Five-Step Dance", "Mother Song", "Ancient Tune", etc. The texture has the characteristics of main tune music, and The sound pattern is mainly the rhythmic accompaniment of the main melody and the sustained long tone of the bass. Lusheng dance music of the Miao people in northwest Guizhou is usually played by one person while dancing alone, and occasionally two people can play against each other while dancing. Commonly used repertoire includes "Playing Music", "July Rice Flower Field", "Jumping Music", "Diamond Song", "Main Score", "Tiaohua", "Dapu", "Mi Gang", "Geng Dou" "Catch", "Gengzadai", etc. Some harmonic textures have the characteristics of tonic music, and some have the characteristics of polyphonic music, that is, two contrasting melodies appear in one piece of music at the same time.
