ISRC code (International Standard Recording Code, ISRC), defined by ISO3901, is an internationally accepted code for sound recording and music video product publications. IFPI is designated by ISO as the agency to register ISRC codes. TC 46/SC 9 is responsible for the ISRC encoding standard.

Publications using ISRC encoding include records, audio tapes, video tapes, laser discs, laser discs, etc. The implementation of ISRC will definitely have a positive impact on the publication and distribution, copyright protection, information exchange and market management of audio and video products. In May 1992, China's State Administration of Technical Supervision approved a mandatory national standard "Chinese Standard Audiovisual Product Code (CSRC)" ( GB13396-92), this standard was developed by the Publication Format Subcommittee of the National Documentation Standardization Technical Committee based on the international standard "International Standard Recording Code-ISRC" (IS03901-1986) and combined with China's actual situation Drafted and formulated. The standards stipulate that starting from January 1, 1993, all audio and video publishing houses in China must record the recorded programs and each audio and video product in the program on every audio and video product they produce (including records, audio tapes, video tapes, laser discs, etc.) A part that can be used independently is encoded with an international standard audio and video product code marked with "ISRC".
