The handmade works for Qingming Festival are as follows:
1. Take two white paper towels.
2. Arrange them neatly, and then fold them front and back.
3. Take a white thread and tie the paper towel tightly from the middle.
4. Use your hands to gently pull the paper towels apart layer by layer from one end to the other. Pay attention to gentle movements to avoid tearing.
5. The other end is also torn open in the same translation method. In this way, a white paper flower is ready.
Sweeping the tomb is a "tomb sacrifice" and a "respect for the times" to the ancestors. This custom has a long history. In the north, it is called visiting the tomb. In some places, sweeping the tomb is called "sweeping the mountain" or "worshiping the mountain." In some areas in the south, it is called "hanging the mountain" or "hanging paper."
There are two types of "mountains" to worship: one is the ancestors who go back to the ancestors within three generations from the parents, which is called "family mountain", and worshiping the family mountain is called "family sacrifice"; the other is to worship the clan. Worshiping ancestors is called "Ancestral Mountain" or "Dazhong Mountain", and worshiping ancestors is called "Sao Dazhong Mountain".
