I’ve been obsessed with Alan Walker’s song “On My Way” recently.
I can’t explain why I’m so fascinated by it, it just happens to be that every bit of it tickles my fancy.
Crisp female voice, just the right drum beat, exotic Latin American style... and a few lyrics that express my inner feelings.
There is also the interlude that touches my heart the most.
The songs that everyone likes can more or less reflect that person’s inner world. Just like this song, maybe it is a reflection of my inner world recently.
Actually, I don’t usually like to listen to electronic music, but I do like music with a strong sense of rhythm and great drum beats. Does it mean that my inner personality is different from my introverted and slow personality? Is it actually very interesting deep down, and also vaguely very active?
I like exotic songs very much, such as "Havana" by the little goddess Camila Cabello, which I fell in love with as soon as I heard it. When listening to this song, I see what Cuba looks like before my eyes.
Recently, I have been eager to go to the ruined ancient city of Pompeii and have a look at the scenery there. Perhaps this is also the reason why I like exotic styles.
When listening to songs, in addition to listening to the lyrics, I also like to listen to the accompaniment behind the lyrics. Sometimes I even want to just listen to the accompaniment. Perhaps this also means that I like to see the behind-the-scenes of things. I always like to dig a little deeper and look farther.
Why do people listen to music?
In addition to entertainment, relaxation, and expressing one's mood through other channels, music can also describe a world to the listener.
Everyone sees the world differently, which is another charm of music.
——Your feelings and my feelings may be similar, or they may be completely different. How amazing?
A long time ago, I listened to Li Zhiting's song "The Years Are Frivolous", and suddenly the boys in white in the 1980s appeared in front of my eyes. So, I went to the cinema to watch a movie "The Years" whose background I had no idea about. "The Thief". It was precisely because of a song that I watched a movie that I still remember deeply, and I remembered the famous line "One step is difficult, one step is good."
I also watched a Korean costume fantasy TV series because of the song "Time Passes" by Lyn. I just remember the moment I heard this song, I was stunned as if I was struck by lightning. I can't describe the plot of this TV series, but this song has a completely different meaning to me than the TV series.
A song, a love.
It is a mood and an emotion.
Memory cannot help you recreate every moment, but the moment the music sounds, you will remember the mood you had many years ago.
So take aim and fire away.
I’ve never been so wide awake.
