Spring Symphony - Enjoy reading Zheng Chouyu's new work "Shuo Yu" (Huang Weiliang)
The poem "Shuo Yu - a song for the children living in China" was published in Taipei's "United Daily News" on April 28, 1980. It is fresh and lively, clear and easy to read. It is a children's song suitable for all ages. It is one of Zheng Chouyu's best works - and a new poem. Chouyu's poetic style has always been as light and beautiful as light music. The previous poems were soft and sometimes a little negative, but this "Yu Shuo" is light and full of positive meaning, and its atmosphere is no longer limited to light music.
In 1986, Taipei's "Wenxun Monthly" (Issue 22) held a questionnaire survey. Readers ranked me as the "most popular writer" in the poetry category, and I also received the most votes among writers in all genres. people. The questionnaire said that readers come from "ethnic groups" with different regions, classes, industries and lifestyles. Later, the results of the "Literary Artist" magazine and Taiwan college student questionnaires were almost the same. The "Wenxun" questionnaire listed the person with the most votes for novels as Zhang Ailing. Another series of "Reading on the Go" published by Hongfan Bookstore has been compared with Lu Xun in terms of sales volume. This choice of traveling through the history of new Chinese literature shows that the vast number of literary readers have transcended fashion and fashion. "The Collected Poems of Zheng Chouyu" was the only poetry collection selected by Taipei's "China Times" and Citibank. Taipei's "United Daily News" selected 30 literary classics from the 1950s, and "The Collected Poems of Zheng Chouyu" was listed as the "top" in the poetry category. Computer election, first place in the vote. In the early 1990s, two of my poems were selected into the high school Chinese textbooks approved by the Hong Kong government, which were also the only new poems. Since (1997), Taiwan has been selecting new poems, including my works, in the re-examined Chinese textbooks for senior high school students. My poems have entered middle school classrooms, and they have also brought me some fresh nostalgia and sense of responsibility.
The influence of tradition on Zheng Chouyu goes far beyond that. He once emphasized that the two sentiments of "honesty" and "chivalry" expressed in poems are traditional. I think that in his poems, "honest" means sincerity, simplicity, tolerance, kindness, compassion for life, and care for people; "renxia" means upholding justice, fighting injustice, and opposing evil. The same It is compassion for life and care for people. This is the traditional sentiment in Zheng Chouyu's poems. This is particularly striking in the poem "Shuo Yu". His attitude toward winter, spring, rain, and children can be proven everywhere. His persistence in being "honest" and "respectful" shows that he is finally a worldly poet.
"Shuo Yu" is the poet Zheng Chouyu's personified image of spring rain. The whole poem uses rain as the central image, opening and closing to develop, from display (first stanza) to development (second to seventh stanzas). ) to the "Spring Rain Symphony" that is full of joy and summarizes (section 8). In the poet's writings, "rain" and other things are endowed with the spirit of life and become a very beautiful, magical, affectionate and meaningful existence, making people feel cordial, lively, cheerful, and full of interest.
"Yu" said she was coming; she is the messenger of gentle and kind love; she comes quietly, children should not refuse her coming; she comes from a distant place; she once Growing up with a lucky smile. "Yu" said that when she came, she would never go back. When the children learned to laugh freely, she rested happily. These words express that Chinese elders are willing to make every effort and pay any price in order for children to grow up carefree, healthy and happy.
