Chinese lyrics:

Where would I be if I didn’t meet you

How is life? Do you want to cherish it?

Maybe I know someone who lives an ordinary life

I don’t know if there will be love as sweet as honey

As time goes by, I just I care about you

willingly

I am willing to be infected by your breath. How often can I get a close friend in life

It is not a pity to lose the power of life, so I beg you

Don’t let me leave you. I can’t feel except for you

If there is a trace of affection, one day

If you say you are about to leave, I will lose myself

Walking into the boundless sea of ??people without any promises

As long as we are together every day, I can't live on just memories

Let time go by in a hurry

I only care about your willingness to infect your breath

The geometry of life It’s not a pity to gain the strength of a close friend who lost his life

So I beg you, don’t let me leave you

I can’t feel any affection except for you

Time flies by and I only care about you

I am willing to be infected by your breath. How often can I find a close friend in life

It is not a pity to lose the power of life, so I beg you

Don't let me leave you. I can't feel any affection except for you

"I Only Care About You" is the Chinese version of Teresa Teng's Japanese song "时の流れに Bodyをまかせ". The song is the main song of Teresa Teng's last Mandarin album and has been covered by many singers over the years.

2. Background Creation

On February 21, 1986, Japanese musicians Araki Toshiro and Miki Tokiro created the Japanese single "Time No Flow" for Teresa Teng. "まかせ" was officially released and topped the Japanese cable charts for half a year, breaking the historical record of the Japanese cable charts for the third time.

In 1986, Teresa Teng invited Taiwanese lyricist Ms. Shen Zhi to fill in the Mandarin lyrics for this song. Shen Zhi named the song "I Only Care About You" and kept the Mandarin lyrics with the original meaning of the Japanese lyrics.

Teresa Teng then sang the Mandarin version using the accompaniment of the Japanese version, and the chorus of the song was sung by Teresa Teng herself. During the recording of the Mandarin version, Teresa Teng was suffering from kidney disease. Although the vocalization of the Dantian caused pain in her waist, she still completed the entire piece at a high level.
