Introduction to the Paul Moliere Orchestra< /p>
The French Popular Orchestra, one of the three world-famous light music groups, was founded by Paul Molière. Paul Molière was born in Marseille on March 4, 1925, in a family that loved music. He started learning piano at the age of 4. He was talented, had a sensitive hearing, and had amazing music memory ability. At the age of 10, he entered the Marseille Conservatoire to study piano and composition. In 1944, at the age of 19, Paul began his career as a conductor of popular bands, and became increasingly famous for arranging music for record companies. In 1965 he organized his own band. In 1968, the album "LOVE IS BLUE" recorded by the group ranked first on the American pop music chart for eight consecutive weeks, becoming a gold record that year and winning the grand prize in the ACC Record Competition. , and was invited to perform in the United States in the same year.
In the late 1960s, the French music scene was quietly undergoing a revolution. Paul Molière Group conquered the world with their song "Blue Love". In the following 30 years, the orchestra sold 30 million records, recorded its music 1,000 times, and conducted more than 30 world tours. It enjoyed a high reputation and became a world star.
Paul Moliere bid farewell to the stage in 1998, but his band is still a musical envoy sent to various countries. The band performs music in Moria's unique style, as well as the most popular and popular compositions he composed or arranged. He successfully found a way to cleverly connect classical music with pop music, forming his unique style that combines beautiful melody, vivid rhythm and bright atmosphere.
The orchestra generally has about 30 members, with a large proportion of strings, mainly violins, and viola and cello as color embellishments. Paul also uses more orchestral instruments, especially the use of percussion instruments, which is very distinctive, rather than pursuing excitement. He even used the clavichord, a customary instrument of the French Louis dynasty. In the song "Blue Love", the use of harpsichord adds a lot of color to the music. Paul did not reject disco and rock music blindly, but applied some of their distinctive elements to his own creations. For example, in the famous disco song "Pearl of the Aegean Sea", Paul gave disco an elegant treatment. Here, the disco rhythm is no longer the main body of the music, but is only used as a background foil. The effect is beautiful and compact, rather than frantic and noisy.
The orchestra constantly explores new sounds and tries to maximize the effect of recording production. For example, the traditional violin output method is changed from the left channel to the right channel, creating a wide atmosphere. Generally speaking, the music played by this group has the characteristics of gentleness, freshness and simplicity, clear rhythm and beautiful lines. It is a typical "pleasurable music". From the 1970s to the present, the Paul-Molière Light Music Ensemble has recorded nearly a hundred records, which are popular all over the world, such as "French Popular Music", which includes "Blue Love", "Melody of the Night" and other songs. "Russian Love" includes "Katyusha", "Red Shawl" and "Volga Boatman", etc., as well as "Pearl of the Aegean Sea", "Latin Collection", "The Gorgeous World of Chopin", "The Temptation of Film Music" ” and “The World of the Beatles” and other albums.
