From October p>1934 to October 1936, the Chinese Red Army of Workers and Peasants made an unprecedented Long March. The Red Army's extraordinary perseverance overcame the encirclement and interception of hundreds of thousands of reactionary Kuomintang troops, crossed the inaccessible snow-capped mountains and grasslands, and experienced a journey of about 25, miles in ten provinces. Finally arrived at the destination-northern Shaanxi Province.
