Einstein said: "Without early music education, I would accomplish nothing in anything I do." I was surprised by how highly a great physicist valued music education.
In the past year, I often accompany my children to music classes, playing piano for half an hour and singing for half an hour. While my children are in class, I sit back and listen. My daughter doesn't like music class very much, but I think this hour is the time I enjoy the most.
I have always considered myself tone-deaf. I don’t know any musical instruments and my singing is always out of tune. I remember that after I went to college, I never dared to sing in public again, let alone go on stage. When I was a student, I watched those classmates who were good at singing and dancing gain the favor and favor of the opposite sex, and the sour feeling in my heart lasted for several days. After working, I watched my versatile colleagues show off their singing voices or perform musical instruments at company events or annual meetings, thereby gaining appreciation from their leaders, and I began to regret not cultivating my musical hobby.
I once made up my mind to learn singing and also learned harmonica, but all ended in vain. On the one hand, I don’t have perseverance. Because musical literacy cannot be developed in a few days, especially musical instruments, it cannot be achieved without hard practice. The other side is that I care too much about other people’s opinions. For example, when I was practicing singing in college, I was ridiculed by my classmates for being out of tune, which suddenly destroyed my self-confidence. After that, I didn’t even want to hum.
In fact, I have always loved music. For example, I especially love watching music talent shows. I am moved by the stories of people with musical dreams and impressed by their musical talents. I know that music is very important. Music can make our life more beautiful and happy.
Like most parents, if they can’t do it themselves, they rely on their children. I want my children to like music and be able to master an instrument proficiently. Last year I bought a piano for my child and signed up for piano lessons and singing. After that, supervising my children's piano practice every day became an important task for me after returning home from get off work. In order to better accompany my children in learning, I also started practicing. I can secretly learn a lot when I take piano lessons with my children, and practice with them when I get home. Although it is still in the early stages, I still enjoy it.
I don’t expect my child to become a pianist or musician. I just hope that she will have music to accompany her, so that she will have no regrets when she grows up, and can live a happier life.
